I always thought SDB would be the device, and SDB1 is the partition?

Re: In LXDE, saving Weather Preferences?

Im a big fan of Conky after Gdesktlets stopped being supported, you can get weather data in conky, even get the pollen count in your area! Heres some nice examples... https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=conky+weather&safe=strict&rlz=1C1GGRV_enGB793GB793&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjU476wrfzeA...

Re: Q. Rasbery Pi as Digital Radio Mondiale decoder

Would two pi 3 Plus's have enough grunt to do this?
One on Input and One handling output?
I dabbled with this on my Ubuntu Desktop and never got any output from it.

Re: Jukebox

you only need an external soundcard if you want to record, I've bought quite a few of those cheap chinese ones off ebay, they run nicely, only downside is most of them only record in mono. Still pretty good for about a quid!

My RPi3B+ is my fifteenth.
Five 1Bs, one A+, one B+, two 2Bs, one zero, one zero W, three 3Bs, one 3B+
Damn Dougie, I thought I was obsessive with nine!

I've been struggling with this problem, Im trying to set Ctrl+Pageup as Volume up, and Ctrl Page Down as volume down as a keymapping, I've done it in Ubuntu Mate, but I cant figure it out in Openbox.

Re: USB Speakers not working with Raspberry Pi 3

Did you try running alsa-mixer? If you're trying to record through USB while playing USB at the same time, I think you'll find you cant. I don't think the USB soundcards are duplex cards, you can EITHER playback or record not both at the same time. I had this years ago on a pc, and in the end had to...

Re: USB Speakers not working with Raspberry Pi 3

Are they those USB speakers that have an audio cable and use the USB cable for power? or purely a USB connection for Power and Audio? It could just be a lack of power to run the speakers.

Re: USB Speakers not working with Raspberry Pi 3

I think you need to run alsa-mixer and choose it as default sound card, I had to do this to use a little chinese USB sound card. It now works fine in SSH.
I play using mpg123.
