I'm really new to all this (Git hub, Linux), anyway I have redesigned Adafruit's MAX31855 board to
better suit the Raspberry Pi.

Very interesting question, I look forward to any replies. I my self tried and installed owfs and made everything online before realising that I could'nt find a way to do what you want to do.

Ok, so I got an answer.... I didn't likte: Use Occidentalis. It has built-in 1-wire support in kernel space. You can't do this in user-space, as your software can be interrupted at anytime by the kernel. So frankly..... I would have to build 1-wire support for the kernal to the debian distro for thi...

Hi, Im trying to hook up a DS18B20 to the GPIOs. Im using geany and coding in C, I have manage to send and recive on the bus! I say... anyone there and I get the response, yes I'm here. Wonderful help. This is the first time I program this kind of device/os. Usually I only have some experience with uC (PIC18). First I wanted to toggle the GPIO pins, later I discovered when closing the terminal with ctrl - C the program continues. Therefor I wanted a push of a button on the keybord ...

By just closing the xterminal the program continues.. I don't have the leds, I used an oscilloscope and looked at the pins (GPIO0 toggled between high and low).
