Re: Pi freezing when plugging in a new SSD

Well, you can check out old ways to deal with broadband radiation from amateur radio. Start with the simplest: buy a good usb & hdmi cable, with ferrites, and buy an aluminum box (I prefer copper) for an SSD. Electrically connect the case of the disk box to the ground (if the design allows this). So...

Re: Help with RPI4 pins, power button, FLIRC case and an External HDD

Such experiments end with devices thrown into the trash at best. Never and under no circumstances should accidental contacts be made between conductive devices. These fundamentals are teaching the eighth grade of high school in our country, and these are good fundamentals. Just imagine what would ha...

Re: Volume Control not working

This is another Debian-Buster glitch. Broke in Stretch. There are several solutions - the first is to put a software volume control (softvol). The second is to put a jack (will expand the possibilities). Third - connect to an external amplifier with volume control. This is the right decision. Yes. I...

Re: PI 4 USB audio clicks/pops

Games with Raspberries entertain elderly men. Just like a joke. Last week I did an “upgrade” to my computers (and my pockets were leaky). And if you are so annoyed by clicks, then try the following method. After some experiments, I almost got rid of the clicks and probably found another reason for t...

I see that you are using wireless devices in a range close to wi-fi. Try turning off the wireless mouse and keyboard first. Then you have the features of working with the display. Set the display resolution to minimum (1200x800). Do you use USB3 ports? If so, disconnect the devices from these ports....

Re: red lights and no display

What is your memory card and what operating system? Raspberries fourth version? Perhaps the easiest way to “fix” the problem is to simply take another memory card and reinstall Raspbian on it. Of course, I would like to clarify the brand of the memory card and its capacity for a start) And what prog...

Re: Pi 4b Not Booting

As I understand it, playing with large cards often becomes a lottery. This is due to the fact that large cards are faked, as well as to attempts by manufacturers to put "special controllers" in such cards. For example, on the forums, Debian complained that this fate befell Samsung Evo + and now in L...

Re: Constant random crashes no consistent pattern

You know, I already have a feeling that the most correct thing is to lay out a list of memory cards that definitely work in Raspberry 4 Because the number of messages about “32 GB bad memory cards” is growing, but there is still no new list of “good memory cards”. So, I know that they complain about...

Ok, I took messages about the need for radiators. You are right, this is superfluous in this topic. But isn’t the topic already closed? It seemed to me that the problem is that 32 GB memory cards do not work (that is, the same error that they write about here in another thread https://www.raspberryp...

Re: Pi 4b Not Booting

Hello! Does raspberry blink three times without a memory card? Try counting three or four blinks? Do not try to alter the EEPROM (as almost all messages show, this does not lead to anything) If there are only three LED on without a memory card, you will most likely have to return the computer to the...

You are using a low quality dc dc converter with poor power output. But you wonder why the acoustic line sensitive to quality of food makes noise ??? Re: Difference between 3.3V pin and normal pin

Connecting power devices to a 3.3V pin is a bad idea. This is the output of the voltage converter, and very gentle. It was the incorrect use of PMIC that was the reason for the numerous cases of the death of Malin 3+ (accidentally shortened the nearby contacts +5 and +3.3 V or overloaded 3.3) Moreov...

Perhaps you need to look for a common in two cases. I see you are using a gaming mouse and an interesting memory card with controller DDR50 – DDR up to 50 MHz ,. Do you have toshiba exceria? You may need to manually download the modules for your card. Unfortunately, I also encountered this problem - Buster does not work well with my sound card and freezes. I rolled back to the Volumio OS. What sound cards do you use?

Why is it unlikely that just two computers do not work as soon as they are received? In our country, there is such a thing as “manufacturing defect”. This means that the negligent manager ordered a batch of devices from some factory known for low-quality details and a low work culture. As a result, ...

As far as I know, Raspberry 4 uses MaxLinear's MxL7704, this is a more advanced version of PMIC than the previous one. I’m just not struggling to increase productivity, but trying to reduce productivity. I have several microcomputers and some of them I use in headless mode to solve specific, non-resource-intensive tasks. Teensy controllers are also connected to them. For Raspberries 3 there are many ways to reduce p...
