Re: Wifi not working on RPi Zero W

I had a similar problem with my zero W, when bought the pi worked well with wifi. But it started losing wifi connection to my router even thought is was only a few feet away. The problem was that I must of damaged two small components on the pcb connected to the triangular wifi aerial as they were h...

Re: old pi update problem

Thank for the reply guys. Will have a go tonight.
Does this mean the older pi isn't being supported anymore or is it just a problem with my setup?

old pi update problem

I have an old pi (its got 2011.12 on it) and its been working fine for a few years running Raspian. Today I did an update and upgrade as I like to keep the pi up to date, but now it boots up and immediately shuts itself down. Not being very good with Linux can someone explain how I can get it to boo...

Camera v1.3 will not fit new Pi zero case

Just received a Pi Zero W and one of the new cases, I have a Pi camera V1.3 and it seems to me that it will not fit into the new case?
The camera fits the aperture ok but will not click down as the camera body seems to be too thick.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Thanks to all for the help. I have changed all my scripts to bcm numbering, and will now just use that for all my programming.

Re: P5 connector BOARD pins

Thanks for the reply Burngate, that makes interesting reading. My next question is can I mix GPIO.setmode(GPIO.BOARD) & GPIO.setmode(GPIO.BCM) in the same Python program? or will I have to edit all my other Python scripts to have BCM instead. New to Python so would like to know before trying. Regard...

P5 connector BOARD pins

In my main python programs I decided to use 'GPIO.setmode(GPIO. BOARD )' but since I need to use the extra GPIO pins on the P5 connector I can not find any reference to BOARD pins. I can control the P5 GPIO with BCM numbers but for consistency I would like to use BOARD Numbers. Have I missed somethi...

Re: fvdw-sl NAS firmware now available for raspberry b

Excellent nas software, just works straight off when I installed it on a pi model B, not only that , but an old LaCie EDMini v2 I had years ago has been revitalised by installing a version made for it.

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Check your CPU temp, I have my pi and camera in a dummy camera box that's not well ventillated and have noticed high CPU temperatures only since the v4l2 driver became available.

Re: Photography Projects

I've been following this thread for sometime and have created a wireless camera grip following David Hunt's model. I found that even with latest Pi and all updates you still need the usbreset as described earlier and if as I do you want to use --keep to keep the original photos on the camera memory...
