These are recognised by the Pi and are configurable through EmulationStation so assume they'll work in RetroArch.

Re: RetroPie Setup - Auto-installer/updater for RetroArch ga

About the keyboard, make sure you aren't running in startx, start a new terminal (not sure if that is right terminology) and launch emulationstation from the command line

Re: RetroArch Emulator Frontend

Where could you host it? Would it be ok in a dropbox or something? If you put it wherever you can (maybe even split the file into multiple RAR files?)

alebiasin - could you upload an image of your Pi?

I have been struggling with getting MAME working well so would appreciate an image if possible.

Cheers

Re: RetroPie Setup - Auto-installer/updater for RetroArch ga

Right, have been off this for a few weeks, am back playing around now :D I have NES games working fine, but am still struggling with Track and Field through MAME. I'm using the new Turbo mode and a 192/64 memory/graphics split. Here's a vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYtZBSbotO8&feature=youtu...

Ah cool, will be happy to be a test monkey for you.

Do you know of issues with MAME? Do you get these yourselves? Could it be my rom? Just trying to work out where the issue is, before even trying to fix it....

I am still having issues with mame running slow in games and terrible sound. Has anyone got advance mame working with sound yet? Once I have that a working I can then work on my cabinet...

Re: Using RPI for MAME in place of a regular computer

There are currently sound issues with emulators (that will be fixed with either a trimmed kernel or some new ALSA drivers).

I have struggled with the older games (i.e. Track and Field) and these run slowly for me. The SNES games seem to run fine though (minus the sound).

Re: MAME Distro

I have been using retropie and that works bar mame and sound. Here is the thread if it interests? http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=13600 It runs SNES games perfectly (bar sound) so I don't know if you two could collaborate? Do you attach heatsinks or overvolt the pi to run at 9...

Re: RetroArch Emulator Frontend

Ok, so the speed issues seem to be mame as using the snes emulator is running smooth with super Mario and donkeyKong country. I still have no sound. When running hello audio the sound works but when doing sudo aplay /usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Center.wav I get no sound output. Apologies for the mul...

Re: RetroArch Emulator Frontend

So, my issue was starring it in start x. When I play mame games though they seem to lag, I have tried to film it. Watch how slow the time goes when doing the 100M. There is also no audio but that's to do with the drivers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZV0xqJvYJI&feature=youtube_gdata_player Any t...

Re: RetroArch Emulator Frontend

Nothing happens I'm afraid. Keyboard is completely dead. I've tried running a mame game, and on the "press left then right" screen, the keyboard is also dead. I'll try and hunt down a new powersupply, as then one I have might be a tad in the low end. The thing is everything works great with advance...

Re: RetroPie Setup - Auto-installer/updater for RetroArch ga

Hi, Got this installed so super work. I have a ROM (It's a MAME one) and it loads. It comes up with a copyright disclaimer and says "Press Left the Right to continue" but no keypresses are caught. I'm assuming I have missed out a step but can't work it out. Is there a config app to run to setup the ...

Was wondering if anyone had any experience of using these with the Pi?
