Re: The things I've gotten to work on my PI 4 :)

What did you do to get Netflix working? there are some blog posts that outline the process in detail, but the long and short is that you grab the widevine library from a chromos image copy it into /usr/lib/chromium-browser/libwidevinecdm.so then go get a plugin that allows you to change the user-ag...

Re: Ultrasonic and servo motor - adafruit dc and stepper motor hat - mini kit

The numbers on the motor driver board are gpio numbers not pin numbers, so you need to change 25 to 12 in your program. And if you used the connections I suggested for the sensor then you need to use 22 for trigger and 24 for echo in your program Thank you, I found my issues. 1. I was using wrong p...

Re: Ultrasonic and servo motor - adafruit dc and stepper motor hat - mini kit

That diagram was drawn by me, you would just have to search the web for connection diagrams , there may be examples for commonly used device or IC's. But in general unless the manufacture provides diagrams or a hobby site has some its down to you to workout how to connect things. Thank you, so I ha...

Re: Ultrasonic and servo motor - adafruit dc and stepper motor hat - mini kit

As you sensor is powered by 5v you need you take in to consideration that the output is also 5v which will damage you pi if connected directly to the gpio. So you need to use a potential divider circuit to connect the echo pin to the gpio. like this https://i.imgur.com/RvYLodK.jpg Is there any webs...

https://5.imimg.com/data5/KU/RE/MY-1598814/hcsr04-500x500.jpg Another noob question about the same topic. I have no idea where I am supposed to connect Trig and Echo pins on the Hat. Like which number on the Hat should I connect them. There are like a lot of names here for each pin example: TXD,#4,...

Re: Ultrasonic and servo motor - adafruit dc and stepper motor hat - mini kit

This question has been asked before about this motor driver board. https://i.imgur.com/jiIy2PP.jpg So the green arrow is pointing to a row of connections that are all the unused gpio pins that you can use to connect your servo and sensor. Thank you very much, sorry for the repeated question. I am p...

[SOLVED] Ultrasonic and servo motor - adafruit dc and stepper motor hat - mini kit

Hello, I am trying to build a pi based robot car, I have connected the adafruit dc and stepper motor hat mini kit to the Pi and using 4 dc motors for 4 wheels. Now I have no idea how to add more modules to the Pi, since motor hat covered all the pins. Is there anyway I can accomplish this? Google di...

Re: Pi 4 - Buster: openCV 4.1.1 stuck at 100% for like 3 hours

I rebooted my pi, deleted the contents of build and used

Code: Select all

make
this time instead of

Code: Select all

make -j4
.

it completely skipped the part where I was stuck last time and I was able to install openCV 4.1.1

Hopefully this will help someone else who follows that guide and faces the same issue.
