Re: Combined audio sink Analog + HDMI

Also restoring the default pulseaudio configuration I can't play audio from analog device. With paplay I get this sudo paplay -d alsa_output.platform-soc_audio.analog-mono.3 miniTurnixPI/audio/notify.wav Failed to drain stream: Timeout while with aplay (and pulseaudio stopped) I get: aplay -D hw:CAR...

Combined audio sink Analog + HDMI

Hi, working on pi4, I follow the instructions to have 3 devices card adding this inside config.txt: snd_bcm2835.enable_headphones=1 snd_bcm2835.enable_hdmi=1 snd_bcm2835.enable_compat_alsa=0 On reboot with aplay -l I can check that now I have three audio cards. Now, with I setted the pulseaudio /etc...

Re: Weird HDMI Audio Problem on Pi 4 (PulseAudio)

I'm in the same situation, pulseaudio shows only analog mono, but using amixer cset numid=, I can switch from analog to hdmi.

Anyone know why pulseaudio shows only one sink?

Re: QMediaPlayer and analog audio

After some test I understood that without pulseaudio QtMultimedia play sound always through audiosink-actual-sink-omxhdmiaudio, while if pulseaudio is running, Qt play sound with the PCM Playback Route, and amixer cset numid=3 x (1 for analog or 2 for hdmi) have the desired effect of switch audio ou...

Re: QMediaPlayer and analog audio

Thank you,

I'm already using it to control the video files, but I don't want use it to control small (few seconds) audio file playback, I think that Qt have a nice SLOT/SIGNAL interface, that are more handy then polling with DBUS interface.

QMediaPlayer and analog audio

Hi,

I read a bit of old topics on this argument, but are all without an answer.
My raspi is well configured because omxplayer audio is going out from analog, but QMediaPlayer audio not.

Some one is able to play sound with QMediaPlayer using analog audio?

Thanks all.

Re: Questions about fkms, gbm and color alpha channel

I want that the overall window is transparent, but you are right, I have to forget what I have done with rpi3 and legacy driver, and starting to use X to compose the screen, for example Chromium + myApp (started with xcb platform). Anyway here you can find the log, maybe the interesting part starts ...

Re: Questions about fkms, gbm and color alpha channel

alpha should be allowed, although I haven't explicitly tested it recently. Can you provide some more details as to exactly what formats and other parameters you are using? It is possible that I've missed the combination of formats with a per pixel alpha (eg RGBA) and then also adding a global alpha...

Questions about fkms, gbm and color alpha channel

Hi all, I have an Qt\QML app running on pi4 with GBM on fkms driver. All is working well except if I set to "transparent" or a color with alpha != 0 as background color of the root component of qml. So I have some questions: Using GBM I can start the application only in fullscreen mode. Is it right?...

Re: Could not queue DRM page flip on screen HDMI

I have a few questions. Anyone can help me?

Using GBM I can start the application only in fullscreen mode. Is it right?
With the new driver (fkms) alpha channel is not allowed. Is it right?

X11 is the only way to launch more then one Qt\Qml application on screen?

thank you.

Re: Could not queue DRM page flip on screen HDMI

Is possible that after reboot the card order is inverted? Is possible fix it? Device probe order under Linux isn't guaranteed, but every boot I have seen has had v3d as card0 and vc4 as card1. If you want to guarantee things, then you enumerate the devices and find the one that has render propertie...

Re: Could not queue DRM page flip on screen HDMI

A couple of guesses. The GPU on Pi4 is split into 2 - the 3D side, and the rendering side. They are each represented by independent /dev/dri/cardN nodes, and typically the 3D side is card0 whilst rendering is card1. The 3D side doesn't support any form of rendering, therefore will fail any attempt ...

Re: Could not queue DRM page flip on screen HDMI

After have setted /dev/dri/card1 and then have removed the alpha value from the main object of my qml the application is running correctly.

So the error was caused by:

Code: Select all

color: "transparent"
in the Window object of main.qml.

Thank you

crosscompile Qt5 on raspberry 4

Hi, I want to port my Qt\Qml application that runs on rasp 3B+ to raspi4. I think that the first step should be crosscompile Qt 5.xx.x for the new device but I think that could be trouble with the new chipset. Has anyone managed to cross-compile Qt5.12.3 for raspi4, and with which QPA backend? Does ...
