Re: Ubuntu unity desktop environment

I'm not technically involved nor able to answer your technical or contextual questions, sorry.
I just follow the subject and give a try from time to time.
I'll put a link to this subject on the UBports forum, though
Have a nice day

Re: STICKY: New Ubuntu sub-forum

A bit later scruss had explained the sentence for me and I'd replied it was not the case and why.
No need to relaunch that point now. All is fine. Thanks to all.

Thank you very much
I hope this will simplify for everybody.
The advertisement on the sub-forum is clear enough and welcome.
Sure, we'll flag the Ubuntu subjects for move request.

Re: Claim for an Ubuntu sub-forum

Thanks to Volker Dirr for his conciliatory argument. But finally, as already said , we simply ask for a storage of messages about Ubuntu in a Ubuntu sub-forum, nothing more! This will not change anything about RPF's material or human resources. The reason for the strong reactions is not because of t...

Re: Claim for an Ubuntu sub-forum

Good evening Since Jamesh had said above that he was going to look at this and said in this subject that he had thought about it and that he had to talk to the boss, we respected his time for reflection and remained patient. But if the anti-ubuntu come back on the subject, we can also restart the ar...

Re: Claim for an Ubuntu sub-forum

Many thanks scruss for this detailed definitions and meanings. It's very much clear like this and I've to say that it wasn't a personal attack, but just a factual reminder of what happened in the subject that was closed. Moreover, since august, I've bought 2x RPi4 with PSU, one DVB TV pHAT, 2x cases...

Thank you for the answer ShiftPlusOne, and sorry if I've not understood this :

I didn't understand into what Jamesh was supposed to look in after the other sentence I didn't understand.
Sorry if this made a confusion

Re: Claim for an Ubuntu sub-forum

Thank you for explanation, but the exact translation of pop isn't clear for me I was the first to be attacked in the subject that Jamesh closed and I more than once kindly asked to return to the subject which was Ubuntu, while Jamesh and some others were drifting. That is why, after having experienc...

Not only that, but having a pop at a mod at the same time! Risky business, that. I suggest not doing it, ever again. Sorry but English isn't my mother language. I don't understand this sentence. However, I think that I write enough clearly in English for you to understand what I said in my first po...

STICKY: New Ubuntu sub-forum

Good evening, despite the fact that the "Ubuntu 19.10 (Eoan Ermine) released" subject has been closed, I will not offend Jamesh by counting the off-topic posts he committed as well as a few others in the subject dedicated to Ubuntu , despite several reminders from users who wanted to keep talking ab...

Re: Ubuntu 19.10 (Eoan Ermine) released

Hello waveform80

Thanks for all these explanations which confirm all we've seen before and give a clue for the Bluetooth problem. It's because the USB Keyboard and Mouse were not available that we, at first, tried to use Bluetooth ones. Now, all is (will be) fine !

No luck as, if the M$ radio keyboard works fine, the associated mouse lags
I tried to add usbhid.mousepoll=0 at the end of the btcmd.txt line but had no improvement.

Re: Ubuntu 19.10 (Eoan Ermine) released

First solution : The problem is the USB ports don't work. You can SSH into the Pi 4 with: User: ubuntu Pass: ubuntu It will then ask for new password. This only works if you have ethernet cable connected. Here is a workaround until the kernel gets patched: Setting total_mem=3072 in /boot/firmware/u...

Re: Ubuntu 19.10 (Eoan Ermine) released

Can we stop the off-topic at the end!

If the moderators want to continue this debate, they can move the off-topic messages elsewhere. And I think that customers who buy RPi (which pay developers) will also have things to say.

But this is a topic about Ubuntu in Other OS.

Thank you
