Re: Speech to Text Engine

I know this thread has been asleep for a bit, but I was wondering; how do you train pocketsphinx's model so that it works well with you own voice?

Re: Decrypting wireshark data

Ah. Sorry. What I am trying to do, is once I capture a packet that has been sent from some other device, like a text message, get that data into what the devices that is receiving gets to see. Of course, since there are a ton of different package types, this might just not work. Please tell me if th...

Decrypting wireshark data

Is there a way to decrypt data that has been captured by wireshark into something a bit more readable? To install it and run it: [sudo apt-get install wireshark] then [sudo wireshark] (I found that starting it with superuser permissions works better). Then hit the start capturing button in the top-l...

Re: 3B+ on a 9v?

I've been using this one for a while, and it seems to work pretty well, powering my pi3B+ and the official RPi touchscreen. It has a decent amount of usage time, and I don't get power warnings. The reason I wanted a 9V was that it's a bit big for my current project and I was trying to find something...

3B+ on a 9v?

Hello, I an wondering if the raspberry pi 3 b+ could be powered off of a rechargeable 9v battery with 680mAh. Would this work or would the pi need more power?

OpenGL errors

Hello, I am trying to get OpenGL to work and have downloaded the zipped folder from https://github.com/stephanh42/rpigl and then unzipped the folder. Everything was fine until I ran the program and I got errors: # Unzipping and building. pi@zillas-desktop-pi:~ $ cd ~/Downloads/ pi@zillas-desktop-pi:...

Re: IP address tracer?

Great, both of those worked. Thanks!

[EDIT]
I also found that using sudo in front of "nmap -sn 192.168.1.0/24" will give more devices and info. An example is some apple iPhones don't show up unless sudo is used.

Re: IP address tracer?

nmap looks good, but there's so many commands and I can't seem to find one that does what I want. All I really need to know is the devices that are on the same wifi as my pi.

IP address tracer?

Is there a way that I can tell how many devices are connected to the same wifi as my pi, and then find out their ip addresses? Is there like a command line flag that will do this?

Re: concerning steam

You should be able to download the steam installer (.deb file) from https://store.steampowered.com/about/ and then just run it by double clicking it in the downloads folder. Then, just log in, and any games that run on linux that you have in your library can be played, though they might lag. I have ...

Raspberry Pi Cluster Computer?

Hello, I was wondering if its possible to build a cluster computer out of Ras Pi's. I know that its possible but the trick is you need a program that knows how to use all of the resources from all the pi's. The Pi is a bit slow, (compared to modern laptops and desktops), which is fine, and to be exp...

11" or 12" touchscreen display?

Hello, I am thinking of making a laptop with a pi, phone charging battery, a slim usb keyboard, and a touchscreen. Thing is, the keyboards that I can find, are about a foot in width, at minimum, and I need a screen to mach that size. The Official RPi Touchscreen would be fine, but its only 7", so it...

Does anyone happen to know if there's much, or any lag in between sending, and receiving data, if the range isn't too big? (like 1 mile)

Re: Sending data without wifi

I want to build a drone, with a RasPi, sense hat, and the RPi camera. So what I want is to be able to send the data (preferably without having to buy, like, cell service or something), without lag, for the FPV. So I would need to send commands to the drone's pi, and receive pics back from it. And wi...

Sending data without wifi

Is there a way to send data from one pi to another pi without using wifi? I am thinking of building a drone with RPi, but I need a way to send data, and maybe images without wifi, and preferably without much lag. Any ideas?

Yeah, I know. The error was when you were installing it from the usb stick, or sd card, and it said something was corrupt. I think, that it's just my computer though, I am retrying it now. If I get the same error ill try and post it.

Re: RPDesktop on Buster ?

Is anyone having problems with the new release? I have the stretch version on an old laptop, but the new one is giving me errors when it try to install it. Is this just me, or a bug in the new release, or something else?
