Re: ads1115 strange output

Thanks a lot for the hint! Consulting ADS datasheet I noted that it has input impedance of 100MOhms only with gain=8 and 16 that actually seem to be the only two raesonable readings. I'll make some more tests to see if the precision is enough otherwise I will connect an amplifier, I sould have a TL0...

ads1115 strange output

Hello I'm on Raspberry Pi 3B+ with Raspbian Stretch. Using this code: import time import board import busio #import adafruit_ads1x15.ads1015 as ADS import adafruit_ads1x15.ads1115 as ADS from adafruit_ads1x15.analog_in import AnalogIn #Create the I2C bus i2c = busio.I2C(board.SCL, board.SDA) #Create...

Re: Sound & latest updates...

My Raspberry didn't suffer from your issue. My problem was exactly the same as lost's. Try to play audio with other applications (mpg123, audaciuos). It could not be related to portaudio as in my case.

Re: espeak and aplay broken

This workaround works for me:
add the environment variable: PA_ALSA_PLUGHW=1

Re: Audio error in Raspberry

There are two workarounds you can try at the moment:
1) espeak "hello world" --stdout |aplay
2) add the environment variable: PA_ALSA_PLUGHW=1

Re: Sound & latest updates...

Got great inpiration from link posted by Sakanasan. As someone else said before the problem is not espeak but is portaudio-alsa related. The working workaround tested (at least with my Zero W) with two 4.19 kernels is adding this environment variable: PA_ALSA_PLUGHW=1 espeak still complains: Express...
