What do the error(s) in "dmesg" say? without the quotes, of course.

I use my web-browsers built in-tool to do bookmarks, no need for a "tool"...

Re: Pi Zero W - SSH Permission Denied

Remove all the SSH keys associated with your Pi: ssh-keygen -R 192.x.x.x (your IP basically) then try again: ssh pi@192.x.x.x (your IP basically) Never fails me. you can also start from scratch, put an empty file named "ssh" into boot dir and you're good to go. :) EDIT: just saw your reply. I'd try ...

WD My Passport 2TB USB 3 HDD not working correctly.

I was on IRC, some dude was saying the official Pi 4's PSU couldn't handle the USB powered 2.5" USB 3 HDD. I told him he was wrong because it worked fine for me....... I jinxed myself. now it's not working. I plug it in (I'm also using a USB to SATA SSD via usb-storage.quirks) and now every time I m...

Or you could just use PINN, install Arch to a USB3 device and away you go. you may need to add usb-stroage.quirks=*number*:*number*:u though but that can be found on this forum or Google. :D

Re: Buster bug report thread

Just wondering if this is a bug or not... Flashed Raspbian-Lite to a SDCARD, updated everything. disabled swap, rebooted. Went into raspi-configs advance settings (number 7) and then enabled the first option for opengl driver, it says it's disabled. Rebooted, Kodi stops working so the opengl driver ...

Re: Can’t install Ubuntu on RPI 4

Anyway, the sole reason of my attempts to install Ubuntu on RPI4 are to run Steam and GOG Galaxy clients. Can you recommend any other available OS capable of doing that? Steam will not run on Raspberry Pi, the Linux client is for x86/x64 not ARM. I would assume the GOG client is the same but I can'...

Re: Can’t install Ubuntu on RPI 4

We don't need the "fix" for 4gb RAM now. the fix has been implanted into the updates. I started from scratch, Ubuntu 19.10 - went ahead and loaded into SSH on my Android phone (you can get your IP from your router) and login, you'll be asked to enter the default password which is "ubuntu" *username*...

A computer I properly used was a laptop for my 18th birthday with 256mb ram and running XP.
My first SBC was a Pi 2.

I'm not that old but I'm not that young.

None.
There's other SBC's like ODROID or PINE64 but their software/support can't match that of the RaspberryPi.

Thanks for this! Saved me a lot of time looking on Google.
Running very nice off my USB3 to SATA cable and /root on a SSD.

I have another SSD that's got better read/write speeds so I'll be doing this again shortly; when I can be bothered! :D :P

Nothing as good as Etcher.
If you're on a Linux distro, use DD.
If you're on a Windows system, used Win32DiskImager. :D

As above but also note; you may need to stop certain packages from updating/upgrading. I'm still running Stretch 9.5 with kernel 4.14 on a Pi Zero W because of WiFi problems with buster. What problems? I'm running two Pi Zero Ws on a fully updated Buster with no issues. I had a weird issue, every t...
