Re: how go back to stretch 9.5

As above but also note; you may need to stop certain packages from updating/upgrading. I'm still running Stretch 9.5 with kernel 4.14 on a Pi Zero W because of WiFi problems with buster. What problems? I'm running two Pi Zero Ws on a fully updated Buster with no issues. I had a weird issue, every t...

Not sure if this has been said already... Chromium bug where the "frequent" sites you've used all have the same icon instead of the individual one's they should have. Thanks a million for this!
It was the only way I could get / on my USB3 device and /boot on my SDCARD.

Love it.

@itsmedoofer I'm using:
68.0.2 (32-bit)
On the latest buster with everything updated, that site loads fine.
Maybe a problem with Firefox's ESR?

So gain access to the root account:
sudo -i
then run;
chmod -R 777 /media
Then you'll be able to access via plex. I've always done it this way.
You can do the same for mnt, srv etc too.
I’m still getting the same error via root.
Yeah so maybe try "srv" or "mnt".

Is the flirc case that good? I don't want to pay ~£20 for a case and it'll be crap and not work. I see some people say it's good and others not. can't decide. Also, how is the fan-shim? that's only ~£12. My Pi 4 4GB is running constantly so I'd need a fan of some sort to keep it cool. my house is li...

Disabling swap file, will speed up system response time.
Are you sure about that ?
PeterO
Yeah because if you're using "swap" on a SDCARD, it can cause slowness and corruption. it's all over Google.

I don't have a working PI 3 with an SDCARD so can't say if it's bad on that but on my Pi 4 4GB it's kinda slow. I downgraded Chromium, hardware acceleration was enabled and was still kinda slow; the load average would get mega high too. never did figure it out and just moved to Firefox. I didn't buy...

Re: Does anyone have experience using a VPN in Turkey?

They can not stop you using a VPN... In the UK, a lot and I mean a lot of sites are blocked. you can bypass this block by using a VPN or if you want to hide your browsing data from your ISP; you use a VPN. And no, it's not "illegal" to use a VPN. You are an expert on Turkish law, I take it? :lol: :...

Re: When can we expect USB boot for the Pi 4?

It's simple enough to have /boot on SD card and / (the rootfs) on a USB drive, and that works fine for now (if you really can't wait). That's how my 4B2 is configured at the moment. I swapped it for my Pi 3B in this case , and it's been working great since I received it. Yeah well when I tried that...
