Re: Controling very narrow Laminer flow / water jets

You can use new or used(ask in car repair) fuel injectors for this task. But, you need to remember, different injectors(different models) have slightly different open-close time, and you will need to play with timings. https://a.d-cd.net/41d4b38s-480.jpg Or solenoids from a washing machine,(around 8...

Re: RaspiPool. A Swimming Pool Automation System

Hmm This project smells a bit fishy  Sorry - on a more serious note we have a major problem around here with hardness of water (due to the local source being under a clay layer then chalk beds). This can clog up pipes / joints etc very quickly and some folk have 'all house' softeners. I was j...

Re: Automated Truck weight measurement with Raspberry PI

Some measurement of sensor and ADC noise. 500 counts noise video: https://youtu.be/v4fTnnufzNQ https://i.yapx.ru/FFYWC.png As you can see, I have around 120 counts of noise Peak-to-Peak. Lets calculate the noise-free counts... 24bit = 2^24 = 16 177 216 counts. The noise of my system = 120 counts. So...

Re: Noob needs help with barcode-activated camera system

Try to do it step by step. But I think, w/o any programming skils it's not so possible. Got it! So I did more research and believe that I will need to use the native pi camera. From what I understood, I need to write a script that will allow me to capture video. Then, I need to write a script that ...

Automated Truck weight measurement with Raspberry PI

I'm developing an automated truck weight measurement system based on Raspberry PI. What I expected from this system: 1. Truck license plate recognition. 2. Search truck data in the database. 3. Automatically put truckload data to the UI. 4. Show overload/underload info in the UI. 5. Show each axle b...

Re: RPI3 DMA for the SPI

I do not understand. You want to send data to a DAC. The data must be between 0x3000 and 0x3FFF. The data must be based on a sine wave. So the maximum will be 0x3FFF, the minimum 0x3000. Where does DMA come into this? How many values do you want to transfer per second? Is each value a single 16-bit...

Если официально возить будут, то дорого очень будет. Только доставка, таможенные платежи и НДС добавят к EXW цене процентов 40, если не больше... а ещё и продавану что то заработать надо... как то так.

А в серую и сейчас возят.

Change your USB cable. With bad cable, voltage might drop more than 1 volt on 2amp load.

Re: Using Adafruit's Peristaltic Liquid Pump with the Pi

It's a bad manner to make circuits like this(led in series with optocoupler input). Only words I can say. The good manner to place led on optocoupler output. This circuit will work with 3x - 5x input voltage difference (depends on optocoupler and resistors power dissipation), also it will indicate ...

Re: Want to measure battery volts

I was also thinking about the effective voltage range that you are going to measure on each battery. I am thinking that if the 12V battery drops to 6V, it will be in deep cycle. Also, open circuit measurement of a 12V battery can be as high as 13V. Maybe your effective measurement range would be be...

Re: Using Adafruit's Peristaltic Liquid Pump with the Pi

Just be aware that many of these relay boards were designed for the Arduino and don't work correctly with the 3.3v gpio of the pi. Optocouplers on those boards have high CMR, therefore, a voltage difference between 5v and 3.3v doesn't matter in this case. Have you ever read the sticky on why many o...
