Re: Ubuntu 19.10 (Eoan Ermine) released

Same suggestion - ask Canonical. Ubuntu is their distro, it's their job to support it. We have our own distro, Raspbian, which we are happy to support. I think that's a little disingenious Jamesh. You have a new and powerful 64 bit computer with but with only an official 32bit OS so of course peopl...

Hello, I would like to install a Raspbian Os 64 Bits on my RPi 4. The only one solution that I found is an 32 bits installation with kernel upgrades to 64 bits, as you propose here. This solution is not good for use, because in addition to the kernel, softwares and dependencies must also be provide...

I look forward to the release of the 64-bit version of Raspbian, which should improve the CPU's computational performance, bring 4K video support, and compatibility with 64-bit softs like Opera, Google Chrome, etc. 4k already supported in libreElec using the HW HEVC decoder, will also be available ...

Thank you for your reply.

There would not be a 64 bit Raspbian beta version to download somewhere ??

I want to be alpha / beta tester if that's possible :)

Regards.

Re: Raspberry Pi 4 temperature

After having some trouble with the vl805_fw_0137a8 frimware, I came back to vl805_fw_013701. Now after being a little in charge, the minimal CPU temperature in idle mode is 81 ° C :( By adding the line "arm_freq_min=400" I'm opting 73/74 ° C in idle mode and 83/85° C on youtube @ 1080p. Firmware 137a8 is causing issues with many USB3.0 devices - please revert to 13701.
Tank you JDB for your feedback I'll do the necessary tomorrow.

Is there a directory of your website where we can find the future frimwares be it Beta, RC or stable ??

Best regards.

Problem with two ssd connected on the two USB 3 ports of RPi 4

Hello

I encounter read/write errors when I connect 2 ssd or a ssd and a USB key on each of the 2 USB 3 ports of the RPi 4, as is the case on external HUBs not being able to support several devices.

My frimware is updated to version 000137a8.

Best regards.

Re: Raspberry Pi 4 temperature

I hope it will be better when we have an OS and 64-bit applications available (theoretical performance gain of 30 to 70%). It is OT, but where you saw such gain of performance going 64-bits? It's not x86, performance gains are in the order of 5% or less on ARM, but memory usage may increase a lot d...

Re: Raspberry Pi 4 temperature

Hi, Personally I think that some of the problems of too high temperature come from the fact that the CPU and perhaps other components have been engraved in 0,28 microns whereas the prescriptions of ARM for this type of processor is 0,14 microns. Another problem certainly comes from the small size of...
