pigpio header: PI_I2C_COMBINED

this is "/sys/module/i2c_bcm2708/parameters/combined" ? Should it be this, or '2835'? Or is this a moot point in the new driver? Does it make any difference? (Really, I'm not trying to pick on your code. Minor stuff like this just jumps out at me.) My intended usage: the pca9685 card using the daemo...

Re: Controlling temperature chamber using Peltier and PWM signal with external power source

Asking questions is how we learn. Answering them is how I find out I'm wrong, sometimes! The three lug side supply is for control of the 'switch' on the two lug side. That is, there is no current between the three lug side and two lug side. Power for a device on the two lug side must come from the t...

Re: Controlling temperature chamber using Peltier and PWM signal with external power source

I'm getting ready to cool a fair size eq cabinet with Peltier. It gets hot in my garage in southern California. Lots of research. Not not fully completed yet, but ... 1st - your layout for that SSR device is incorrect. The 3 lug side is relay supply and control. The two lug side is normal open **swi...

The 'fix' suggested was not a fix.
If better advice is available, it should be given.

People still search for things, that's how I found this.

Re: Freebasic support

Old thread, new answer. I searched for FreeBASIC (FB) in these forums and arrived here. Someone else may do the same. https://freebasic.net/ No - FB does not officially support the PI, however , more than one FB has been built for the PI, and one user has an accessible nightly build(with history) av...

Re: FreeBasic serial port access

You should not have to poke at the environment/kernel to make it work correctly.

Head over to: https://www.freebasic.net/forum/

and ask.

You will get help very quickly.

Re: What Developping Environment?

Hi New to these forums, just nearly new to the PI. Not so new to computers and programming. If BASIC is your interest: If you want a full bell and whistles/VisualBasic kind of ide - but not VBE - not many for any language. I use FreeBASIC (FB) and geany. FB is a compiler that produces near C languag...

Re: STICKY: Introduce yourself!

Hi I am David. At the start of my third career (1st: law, sort of - 2nd: real estate - 3rd: telecommunications) and first wife, I finally put my hardware/software lurking experience into a business of selling a complete accounting package I translated by hand into CP/M along with a beefy TRS80 clone...
