Re: Save Data (ADS1256)(AD/DA)

Are you running this script to read the data ?

https://github.com/waveshare/High-Preci ... n3/main.py

I expect a save section could be added to it.

Does this site help, it links to the software etc required..

https://hothardware.com/reviews/commodo ... rry-pi-diy

Its looks like you have to download the img, as you do raspbian, and write to the SD card.

Re: RPi3 official PSU solved my problems. But why?

It depends how "good" your psu is, if it can't supply enough current and still maintain the required volts then you will have issues.

Saying a psu is 3A doesn't always mean it can do 3A and still achieve 5v +/- 0.25v at the Pi.

Or as suggested above your usb cable may be poor.

I think you need to provide more details of your setup and problem.

How are you navigating, when does the date/time change, have you considered fitting a rtc etc?

All pins can be used for input/output except 3.3V, 5V and Gnd pins.
Except pi pins 27 & 28, used by hats.?

Re: GPIO.setmode(GPIO.BOARD

The charts at pinout.xyz actually have BCM listed on the left of the pins! For example pin 7 is listed as GPIO4, but that is the pin setup for BCM, NOT FOR BOARD!!! and there doesn't seem to be anything listing the BOARD pins... So i really do not get why this is so hard to see ? The BOARD pin numb...

Yes. Look at raspistill with - ss option and - tl for time-lapse.

Something like

raspistill -t 30000 -tl 1000 -ex off -ss 16666 -o image%04d.jpg

Re: Double phase water pump - Need to have two relays ?

Hi ! I am doing a project with Raspberry Pi and a water detector to shut the pump off. The water pump is two-phased. Will it work with just one relay on one of the wire, or do I need to put two relays : one for each phase? Thanks! Frank You should be able to use one DPST relay, assuming you need to...

Re: Controlling what is displayed on screen

Take a look at python with pygame, tkinter etc.

Set the python script to run at boot, and try and stop any users from stopping it running.

What power supply are you using? This could be a lack of power if the pi doesn't boot with camera attached.

What about using pygame?

You could make a black screen, full screen, with no banners etc, with various size text and colours.

Can you provide details or Web link for this lamp? 4A is a lot for usb.
I am guessing it is a 20W rechargeable LED lamp with a USB charging port.
Or a lamp with 2x2A USB outputs?

Connect the battery -ve to a 'gnd' pin on the pi, eg pin 6

Re: what would happen if wire a 5V battery to the 5VDC gpio pins of a rasbary pi 4

The pi will draw the current it needs. For a pi 3 upto 2.5A, for a pi 4 upto 3A.

The current will depend on processes running and additional items eg usb devices.

You can't make it take more current than it needs and you can't make it go faster with current.
