Re: RPI 3 B+ No wireless interfaces found

can such a small typo shut down wireless and wired interfaces ? An invalid wpa_supplicant.conf file will certainly affect wireless networking, but I can't imagine why it would affect wired Ethernet? I usually have three networks defined in wpa_supplicant.conf as follows: ctrl_interface=DIR=/var/run...

Re: Buster bug report thread

I have found two issues so far. First is that YouTube stutters heavily in chromium although I believe it is a known issue and there's a patch on the way. Any updates on that would be appreciated! Second is with VLC using a Bluetooth headset. An mp4 will only play the first half a second of sound be...

Re: Low power problem with sufficient supply (Bad RPi 3 B+?)

So the power switch contacts could cause troubles ... it's a nice looking white thin and long cable that fits the PSU and the Pi well " visually" .. ;) what if I just remove the power switch and solder the wires ..silly idea? Not a silly idea at all! :ugeek: ;) A switch in the low voltage lead wher...

Re: Low power problem with sufficient supply (Bad RPi 3 B+?)

What is AWG stands for ? AWG = American Wire Gauge On the so called " designed in germany" Leicke PSU supplied long cable its 20AWG .. looks ok at list on paper , no? Yes, cable size should be OK. Switch contacts could be the problem. Where to buy a separate usb cable of a descent length that would...

Re: Low power problem with sufficient supply (Bad RPi 3 B+?)

2nd 1meter cable in my test has correct 28AWG/1P and 26AWG/2C - seems to fit your suggested cable specs , but it didn't work? No, that doesn't fit. You want the AWG number before /2C to be 22 or less. Especially if you want a 1 metre length. IIRC the cable on the official PSU is 18AWG. Thanks for t...

Re: Low power problem with sufficient supply (Bad RPi 3 B+?)

It could, in order of likelihood, be: The USB power cable (especially the switch) The PSU The first two together The Pi You need to swap them out one at a time to see what solves it. Look for a cable that is as short as possible and has at least 22AWG wires (lower numbers are thicker): it may be la...

Re: Chromium - Stuttering audio when playing streaming videos?

I would start by using etcher on the PC to create a fresh install of "Raspbian Buster with desktop". Then do updates etc: sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y Then reboot and test (my Buster is fine on YT) Thanks for reply. So you think the problem might be related to Raspbian Buster Lite and I s...
