This leaves you with two (obvious) choices to ameliorate the problem: pry off the bezel and unscrew the metal cover to remove the magnet, or pry open the base to short the proper terminals to prevent sensing of the magnet altogether. First I want to thank everyone in this thread for helping me build my PiTop. If I'm not mistaken no-one has proposed a solution to the power-reset upon closing the laptop display which doesn't require additional power supplies.
