Re: Raw sensor access / CSI-2 receiver peripheral

Thank you for the detailed post. Currently studying your changes and 6by9's work. I am using the V4l2 driver for my application which has an additional 90fps cap that limited even the v2 sensor before my change.: "#define FPS_MAX 90" https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/blob/rpi-4.14.y/drivers/stagi...

Re: Raw sensor access / CSI-2 receiver peripheral

Does GPU firmware limit the V1 cam to 90fps at 320x240 despite ov5647 sensor supporting 120 at 320x240? I have modified the kernel module to bump the cap to 120, but I can only achieve 120fps with the v2 camera.

Unfortunately, this is not resolved even with 4.14.98. I have yet to try 4.19.

Re: Rare comms failure with enc28j60 and compute module "netdev watchdog: eth0 ("enc28j60"): transmit queue 0 timed out"

I can see multiple fixes that were actually merged in on jan 9, so it is possible that this is fixed. At first glance I saw that the commits were made in November which was before our last update around December 6th. https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/commits/rpi-4.14.y/drivers/spi/spi-bcm2835.c A...

Rare comms failure with enc28j60 and compute module "netdev watchdog: eth0 ("enc28j60"): transmit queue 0 timed out"

Hello, We are experiencing an issue that is difficult to reproduce. "netdev watchdog: eth0 ("enc28j60"): transmit queue 0 timed out" It appears to be slightly more likely to happen when we are sending a significant amount of data from our software, but we have seen the issue crop up with a very smal...

Re: Complete Lockup/Crash with CM3 Running Stretch and USB Camera

The "hub" I was referring to is a consumer usb hub, so I thought you were referencing the hardware on our board. We have one USB port and go straight to the mux chip. We have not modified the kernel in any way. I will try 4.19 soon. We have recently shifted priority to an issue with enc28j60 or spi ...

Same issue with our compute module product and 4.14.86-v7+ #1175.

Re: Complete Lockup/Crash with CM3 Running Stretch and USB Camera

dmesg logs and clues: I cannot replicate the crash if the camera is attached after boot. I can also only replicate the crash if I pull the camera within the first ~15 seconds after starting the recording boot hangs seems to uniquely hang on "starting target sound card" when a usb camera is attached....

1. Kernel: Linux limelight 4.14.86-v7+ #1175 SMP Thu Dec 6 14:04:38 GMT 2018 armv7l GNU/Linux 2. This probably isn't an electrical issue - using the same hardware with an older image, the issue disappears. 3. The display stops working. Script used to confirm: #!/usr/bin/env/bash rm test.avi nohup av...

Re: Complete Lockup/Crash with CM3 Running Stretch and USB Camera

Thanks for the reply. I meant to include the kernel version, but I'll need to grab it again tonight. I can tell you that we upgraded on December 7th or 8th to get your BGR stride fix. The issue does indeed occur on the IO board. I believe I left top running to confirm that the display stopped updati...

Re: Flashing IO board

We have encountered a very small number of unflashable compute modules that get hot when power is applied. Our solution up to this point has been replacing them.

Complete Lockup/Crash with CM3 Running Stretch and USB Camera

Hello, We are experiencing a complete lockup of our CM3 modules which only occurs given the following: Raspbian Stretch Lite (does not occur on Jessie Lite) USB Camera is plugged directly into our device or compute module IO board. (does not occur with a USB Hub) USB Camera is actively recording vid...
