CM3 WiFi Provision

HI, I have a headless board which has a CM3 Plus module ( eMMC 8Gb) WiFi is provided by a SDIO module attached to the CM3 hardware. The wifi module is recognized and the proper driver is loaded. I am able to do a simple "ping google.com" At this point I would like to provision WIFI in this hardware?...

Re: CM3 Plus and WiFi/BT CYW43455

Hi @smaddox

I am indeed using the Murata Type 1MW.
The module is recognized by the CM3 but I am having issues with signal integrity :(
We are developing our own board based on the Murata module.
When I get my hands on it I will do a final test.

PhilE, We are making a PCB board that should solve the signal integrity problem We are having with our WiFi/Bluetooth development board. Once is ready I will test your suggestions to make the SDIO interface work on pins 34-39. One more question if appropriate. We are using UART0 on pins 30 to pin 33...

Re: CM3 Plus and WiFi/BT CYW43455

Hi PhilE,

Sorry for taking long time to get back to you.

You are right We have a signal integrity problem caused by using a breadboard and some long wiring as a part of the hardware test setup.

I will let you know once We solve this signal problem .

Re: CM3 Plus . How to enable I2C1 to be used on pins 44 - 45

PhilE

Thank you for your feedback.

I just added

Code: Select all

dtoverlay=i2c1,pins_44_45
to my config.txt
but when I run

Code: Select all

raspi-gpio get
shows

Code: Select all

GPIO 44: level0 fsel=0 func=INPUT
GPIO 45: level0 fsel=0 func=INPUT
I am using a CM3+ module.

CM3 Plus . How to enable I2C1 to be used on pins 44 - 45

Hi Guys.

I am using the Compute Module 3 Plus.
When I execute

Code: Select all

raspi-gpio get
the output does not show anything related to any i2c interface being enabled.

How can I enable I2C on pins 44-45?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Re: CM3 Plus and WiFi/BT CYW43455

Hi Guys. As explained in this thread using the CM3 Plus and a WiFi/BT CYW43455 is working using pins 22-27 and next line in config.txt dtoverlay=sdio,poll_once=on,sdio_overclock=25 Instead of pins 22-27. How can I switch to use pins 34-39 instead ? What changes has to be applied? Thank you in advance.
