Re: [DEV] LineageOS 16.0 (Android 9) for Raspberry Pi 3 B and B+

I tried this, and... am I doing something wrong? Download image, burn it to sd card with win32diskimager, stick sd card to raspberry and power it up. That's how it goes, right? It took... quite a while to boot. About 10 minutes, I think. After that, the screen was just a really small square on my mo...

Re: Minecraft Bedrock edition on Pi?

I'm interested in this even tho I only have the 3b+ in my hands. Tried running android on it to get things started, but man does it feel BUGGY. Is there a decent android OS for Raspberry? I tried LineageOS 16.0 and it looks like garbage, tho i'm not sure if it's a software or hardware issue. [Probab...

Re: wacom bamboo ctl-470 has no pressure

Thank you, guys. I'm slowly making my way closer to making this thing work. So, I installed the rasperry kernel headers (pretty big package, it ate up 100+mb) and was able to build the x driver as instructed by the page I mentioned before. I don't think any errors happened in the proccess, but addin...

wacom bamboo ctl-470 has no pressure

I was surprised it actually works at all just by plugging it, but of course it needs proper configuration. Trying to follow the instructions from the official site ( https://linuxwacom.github.io/ ) and getting basically squat because the commands either won't work or something happens during downloa...

Re: Can't run sysbench?

Whats the matter with the bash shell on your Pi???? (all the error messages about "let") You may add this line to /boot/config.txt to set the early throttling to start at 70C instead of 60C. temp_soft_limit=70 but really you should try to improve the cooling in any way possible. I really have no id...

Re: Need a case, heatsinks and fan. Also "is this a bad case?"

I know about that case, it has some variations (no fan, one fan, two fans) and it really looks like a good cooling option all things considered. Still might be better for projects instead of an actual case tho. I'm almost tempted to run through Ltolledo's posts and see if they posted any tutorial ab...

Can't run sysbench?

Let's see here; Running lastest raspbian (at least up to jan2019) on a raspberry pi 3b+ tried to run this code after installing sysbench: #!/bin/bash clear #nice little for loop for f in {1..7} do vcgencmd measure temp sysbench --test=cpu-max-prime=20000 --num-threads=4 run >/dev/null 2>&1 done vcge...

Re: STICKY: Setting up HDMI output when video output is wrong.

Ok, i believe posting a question here would be better than a new post for this subject. So, my pi and its cables are working fine, but for some reason I can't make it output to my Home Theater. I kinda wanted to take advantage of the sound system since it's HDMI anyway and some games/videos support ...

Re: Need a case, heatsinks and fan. Also "is this a bad case?"

Kintaro might not, but it is "dispatched by Amazon", maybe amazon do? Alright, I'm extra confused. On the product page I get this: "This item does not ship to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Please check other sellers who may ship internationally. Learn more" But specifically on the international shipping ...

Re: Is Raspbian as easy to use as mate/mint?

LTolledo, thanks for the infos, I'm not sure about the pi being hacked but guess it's better safe than sorry. Some more things arrived, and now I can fiddle with it a bit better. One of the things I found out is that it won't send HDMI data to things that aren't screens, or so it seems. I probably n...

Hahahahaha I had my first overheat moment from something I never thought would cause it. I was installing stuff from the internet (some sudo git that was getting too long) and I was meanwhile transfering some files to it through the network. While it was all Wi-Fi, never expected it to reach friggin...

My Raspberry Pi is here, and luckly the official case, official power supply and some accessories will arrive next week. Fan, heatsi...

Is Raspbian as easy to use as mate/mint?

Hello there, I just wanted to throw this somewhere. While I'm not a linux user, Mint has saved some files of mine in the past and didn't seem that bad to use. My 'Case' learning experience just happened last night: Trying to remove the SD card I used a pin to pull it from the NONE REJECTING SD card holder. Thanks a lot for the links and information, guys. I'll take what you all are saying and try to perform stress tests under all conditions, like I mentioned earlier. Also, I got a metal case to help with it "being a heatsink itself" for the pi. Not the one you recommended because, again... AMAZON DOES...

@Mooblie Thanks for pointing that! @jahboater This heatsink looks just beautiful, seriously. And about the heat, Well, I do want to push the pi, and I grew up to not be carefree ...
