The fact that one has the CE stamp and one does not would lead me to believe that one came from the initial 10K batch the RPF had made and the other came from the serial production of one of the two distributors i believe the one with no CE mark must be from the first 2K, since as far as i know my ...

I have been using the 1a apple charger that came with my iPhone with no problems (i'll also note that i connect it to the gpio pins), i have also briefly used a 2a brick that came with my LiteOn dvd drive, which seemed to work fine, but i didn't do any real testing past checking it powers up

Am i right to assume if i hook up a 5v supply to the 5v pins on the gpio it'll power the RPi fine? it seems that the only micro usb cable i have is a cheap one which is way too thin

seems like farnell isn't going to send my Pi today..... hopefully they will tomorrow
