Re: Pi NOir Camera for license plates

Re: Free VPN - WINSCRIBE - Will it work on a Pi3?

Dave.

Cancel that .. it was much easier than I thought and I'm new to this. Everything works perfectly.

But only thanks to your advice to use "sudo" at the beginning of each line.

Thanks again

Free VPN - WINSCRIBE - Will it work on a Pi3?

Hello, I understand that most free VPNs have risks. I've been looking at Winscribe that works on Linux. Can someone help me understand if Winscribe would work on a Pi3B+ and if so ... what I'de need to to. I'm currently using LibreElec and Kodi This link takes you to the relevant VPN page. https://w...

Thanks ... my mistake.

I'm new to the Pi. Looking at what's involved I may well struggle with getting this to work but I'll give it a go.

Recommendations on Movie Add Ons for Downloading films - Not Streaming

Can any seasoned Pi owners recommend any good movie Addons for downloading films. I'm not so interested in streaming.

Thanks and Happy New Year!

Re: Accessing a Pi remotely

Tried this already...

So ... you can't view downloads via WIFI from Pi to a smart device ... in the way a media player/NAS would work.

Accessing a Pi remotely

I've just got a Pi so new to this. My Pi is connected to my TV. It has openELEC and Kodi on it. I was wondering if, when the Pi is on, but not connected to the TV, if it's possible to instruct films to download to the Pi using an app and then watch them from the Pi ... via an app? I've found remotes...

Re: VPN options - Any with no monthly charge?

Hi, Thanks. I've been going through some instructions on how to set up this and I'm stuck on something that shouldn't really be a problem. I'm following these instructions: https://brianhornsby.com/blog/#how-to-setup-your-vpn-client I'm doing the OpenELEC options. I'm stuck on step 5 as I don't have...

Are there any Raspberry Pi VPN options out there that don't involved paying a monthly/annual fee?

Re: Question: Connecting Kodi to a TV / using a VPN

Sorry ... I didn't mean to confuse. I'll be using the Pi for accessing movies and other tv ... I've been told that if this is the case then I should use a VPN. Forget about a wireless connection between the Pi and TV ... bad idea. HDMI it is. OpenVPN .. and add on from Brian Hornsby ... thanks ... I...

Question: Connecting Kodi to a TV / using a VPN

I've just set up a Raspberry Pi 3B+ with LibreElect. I used my TV as a monitor via an HDMI and a wireless (usb dongle) keyboard. But now I need to set it up in a fixed location for accessing KODI / Add Ons. So .. I'd like to set some sort of VPN to cover the raspberry. My router (line into the house...
