Re: HDMI display won't work (I tried nearly all the solutions.)

Is it possible to try an other Raspberry Pi? Leave everything the same, except the Raspberry Pi.

Re: image capture and compare with saved picture in database

if you are using a USB webcam, you can alternatively use fswebcam. If you are using Python, you'll need to launch the fswebcam process using something like subprocess.run().

Re: Meaningless boot problem

1- While RaPi works normal, I just power off RaPi (tested with and without shutdown command) and in 2-3 seconds I power it on again. I doesn't run, just red light is on that's all, nothing happens, I wait for a while in order to see if green light will be on. It doesn't. I power-off RaPi and wait f...

Re: Why are all my SD cards suddenly read only?

I've read on the SD card Wikipedia article that the read-only switch is controlled by software so there could be something there, on the software side. A mounting problem? It can't really be as the problem appears on both the Linux and Windows side... Maybe it's on the hardware side? Could you try m...

MicroSD card dies... then revives?

I upgraded my Raspbian installation from Stretch to Buster. Without restarting the system, I wanted to something like change the locale. I got an error that a file could not be accessed (file missing?). I restarted my system and it wouldn't boot. I inserted the micro SD in a Windows 10 computer. Alt...

I have been using a Pi 2B as my main PC for 18 months.
The new version?
No, the original 2B....! Its a bit painful at times and sometimes the desktop freezes and I've had to SSH in to kill processes to get it back.
Use SysRq+Alt+F to call the OOM killer

Re: Getting individual pages from magazines - remix?

I checked and the webpage translation 'proxy' service is still up ! You would think that they would shut it down as Google Chrome can now translate pages (Google pushing the Chrome monopoly). It seems that you cannot translate the webpage from its original language (e.g English or Detect Language) t...

I'd much rather just send the lot to the manufacturer of the kits, hence this post.
You could try contacting the kit manufacturers to see if they can take back the unused cases.

Re: Clean Up USB Mounts on Boot

In your /etc/fstab, add this line: UUID=<UUID of your device's partition> /media/$USER/USBDRIVE <partition type (ext4,ntfs,fat…)> defaults, nofail, user 0 0 Replace $USER with your Linux username (by default, it is pi ). You can find out the UUID and partition type using sudo blkid . For more informat...
