Re: HDMI to CSI-2 via TC358743 on kernel 4.1

I have a pi hole sitting on my desk, so i plugged it into the b101 board. I had to reboot the pi, but after the EDID and timing query came back i was able to run the ./yavta commands and i got video on the monitor attached to the pi. So this whole time it was the amazon box........ Thank you for all...

Re: HDMI to CSI-2 via TC358743 on kernel 4.1

My only guess is that you have enabled the vc4-kms-v3d driver, therefore MMAL can't render to the screen.

how would i check to see if i did that? I followed all of the instructions from the previous post. i have rebuilt the pi 4 times and get the same result

Re: HDMI to CSI-2 via TC358743 on kernel 4.1

Got some free time to work on this some more. Wiped the SD card, reloaded everything as per instructions compiled by koop, noticed that my amazon device drops it's output when it does not see a device. rebooted the pi with device removed, then plugged device in and ran the 2 v4l commands for timing ...

Re: HDMI to CSI-2 via TC358743 on kernel 4.1

Koop, I am an RF technician with alot of free time on my hands, so my boss handed me a raspberry pi and told me to make an encoder out of it. I think i am a little greener than you are..... Ultimately i will need to use FFMPEG and push the stream via UDP to a client server on a local network, but ge...

Thank you Koop!

I ran into this when following your instructions

pi@raspberrypi:~ $ v4l2-ctl --set-edid=file=1080P50EDID.txt --fix-edid-checksums
Failed to open 1080P50EDID.txt: No such file or directory

Also, what is PASS TNULEHIKANES ?
Any ideas?

Re: HDMI to CSI-2 via TC358743 on kernel 4.1

Hello, I have been handed the task of getting a RPI3 to work with a B101 to make an encoder that will pass a UDP stream of it's captured content. I have been going through all of the posts starting day 1 on this thread, trying everything along the way, and have yet to get this to work. I have follow...
