Re: Pi Mounting Screw

For those looking try aliexpress. M3 work great if you run an m3 Tap through than they thread nicely through board otherwise m2.5 like others said. Aliexpress is $2-$3 including shipping for a pack of 100. Keep in mind it’s variety size and you won’t necessarily need all but you can stack the short ...

Re: Understanding the Pi Camera with a M12 lens/mount

You can buy the cameras with preinstalled lenses on aliexpress to the original housing but you don’t get the pcb so you end up paying considerably more especially if you don’t want the wide angle offered.

These are the three different M12x0.5 lense mounts on AliExpress. I’m not sure which one is needed. Photo files were too big to upload.

Re: De-cap Camera v2 / Remove Lenses

Does original housing have M12x0.5 threads In housing or do we need to buy the base mounts and install over the top? I could care less about the factory lense or damage to it I won’t ever use it again but it looks like I happen to have a tool that should work. Still waiting for cameras to arrive how...

Re: Sony CMOS Sensor: SonyIMX179

I am following up on this old post to see if IMX179 drivers are yet available for pi 3 B+. Interest is in using high resolution in 3D scanning. There is a large community who would benefit from the use of this camera if drivers were or are made available. Thank you.
