USB devices not working on the Pi CM3 with buildroot custom Image

Hi All, I am using buildroot to generate u-boot+kernel+rootfs+systemd to work on Raspberry Pi CM3 board, most of my required features are working fine, including a wifi dongle connected on one of the USB port which sits over the "Genesys Logic, Inc. 4-port hub" USB hub. The moment I plug in my other...

Re: Does uboot has I2c drivers for Raspberry Pi CM3

No Luck I tried most of the different branches but I2C is not working in none of the branches for Raspberry "rpi_3_32b_defconfig" configuration, I notice gpio staus of the Pin 2 and 3 is not assigned with Function Alterative_0 rather it is kept open as General I/O pin. I am checking with pinctrl dri...

Re: Does uboot has I2c drivers for Raspberry Pi CM3

IIRC the DT passed by the pi bootloader is used as is, unless you actively replace it with your own (with the "dt" commands available in u-boot) I tend to believe the issue might be in u-boot's code instead. I would try with one of the repos owned by Alexander Graf, https://github.com/agraf/u-boot/...

Re: Does uboot has I2c drivers for Raspberry Pi CM3

Have I been labouring for years under these two misapprehensions? 1. uboot is not an Operating System. It is a bootloader - some code that loads and starts an OS. 2. Drivers run as part of or on top of the OS. Firstly, thanks for the response, and I completely agree with your point that the u-boot ...

Does uboot has I2c drivers for Raspberry Pi CM3

Dear All, I wonder do we need to write/port I2C driver for Raspberry Pi CM3 for u-boot because under the u-boot menuconfig option I could not see any I2C driver relating to Raspberry, I had blindly enabled the I2C command and tried to access the bus but nothing has turned out. My u-boot version is "...

Re: Is it Possible to achieve a truly secure booting in Raspberry Pi CM3 right from the Start.elf till the Application l

Okay, Thank you for the In-depth view. So to ensure that my u-boot has not tampered, could I keep my u-boot code in OTP, and let the start.elf to load the u-boot from OTP? 1) what is the size of OTP, can it be programmed by the user once to flash the binary, could you please share any document/Tools...

Re: Is it Possible to achieve a truly secure booting in Raspberry Pi CM3 right from the Start.elf till the Application l

Hi, Since the start.elf is a closed source and it is the one is loading the further program if the Broadcom opens an API to register the Certificate keys using which the start.elf can verify and load the client software (either u-Boot or kernel). does that give a better protection while loading the ...

Is it Possible to achieve a truly secure booting in Raspberry Pi CM3 right from the Start.elf till the Application loads

Hi, I wonder How to prevent unauthorized access to the zImage, RFS and Finally the application binary that we target to run in CM3 for the Commercial product. We have given a thought of many possibilities like having the fitImage that composed of many other required images example zImage, RFS, DTB, ...

Re: CM3 console [Solved]

Hi, Even, I am trying to hit the Serial Consol logs for Raspberry CM3 and found your post has a success, could you please post the picture of CMIO J3 Connect for letting the GPIO takes power and make the Serial logs spitting out on the console. That would be the great help for the starters. or even ...
