TiVo requires a subscription for which i cant afford but more significantly we dont have virgin connection where I live. It seams as though little will support flash these days but sites still use it. buying more than one pi isnt possible cos that also requires money, the one I have now was a birthd...

Well so far im very disapointed with the pi. It doesnt do anything I baught it to do. I got it cos my old crt tv wont connect to a computer and I wanted to be able to use lovefilm, bbc iplayer, 4od etc on it. How am i supposed to watch vidos on it without flash then? What is wrong with these companies and not allowing flash? Im already stuck with an ipod that wont use flash cos of some stupid argument and now your saying the pi wont run it either? Ive seen it mentioned somewhere that someone had gnash do...

Over scanning And flash

So ive managed to locate everything i need and got my new pi hooked up to the analogue tv in the lounge. When i turn it on it all boots fine but the left part of the screen is off the screen. Its an old tv so doesnt have built in over scanning that i can find and ive tried the sudo nano /boot/config...

Thanks, I have an external and an internal card reader so I will give them both a try. my desktop has an inbuilt one and its not that old and its a quad core so im sure it can handle it. as long as i know its going to work in the pi thats fine.

ive just found a micro usb cable on amazon for 96p with free postage, im sure wholesale it would be half that. just gotta wait for it to arrive now :(

Wow there's so many SD cards out there now, its been a while since I had to buy one and there was little choice other than what size you wanted. now there's all this HD video stuff around. before I buy it I just want to make sure it will work in my Pi. thanks, by composite do u mean the RGB connectors that older things used like the old ps1? if so this would only be picture and no sound. would a headphone to headphone or headphone to RGB cable work for the sound? as i think i might have one here somewhere. cant do anything without a micro usb thou...

Just arrived, (does it work on TV?)

So my pi just arrived, rather disappointed that there's no power cable or TV cable. I thought I had a micro USB cable but i cant find any, of all the ones ive got, which is a lot, there isn't one in the bunch. Anyway basically ive been using PCs for years but never Linux or anything like this before...
