Pi Edge Device - REVPI

I've been doing research for a college project regarding Edge IoT devices. I've discovered a few that utilize the Pi as a Base and I am curious what and where they are being used. One such device that I've found is the Revolution Pi made by a company called KUNBUS, and I'm curious if anyone has hear...

Re: raspbian stretch on rapi 3 not work on raspi 4

Stretch doesn't work on Pi-4. But Buster works on all previous models of the pi.

Re: Libcurl Library error

You could use the libcurl3 library from Stretch. Copy it to a special directory (e.g. in /usr/local/share/application-name)and start your application from a script which includes this path: LD_LIBRARY_PATH="/usr/local/share/application-name{LD_LIBRARY_PATH:+:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH}" application-name I've...

Re: Crontab issues on Raspberry Pi 4 with Buster

I thought I was suffering this problem too - the editor never seemed to completely load the cron file. But it does - it's simply that the ordering of the list of potential editors has changed. Previously, selecting option 2 gave you nano, but now option 1 gives you nano, and option 2 is vim.tiny. I...

Crontab issues on Raspberry Pi 4 with Buster

Hi there I've been working on a personal project that involves making changes to the crontab. In stretch I am able to edit the crontab as pi user (crontab -e) and successfully enable a file to run on startup, I am also able to do the same as root user (sudo crontab -e) for the same file. However, I ...

Automatic Cooling Fan on Pi

I just bought a small fan for the raspberry pi. However I only want it to run after it exceeds a certain temperature.

Is it possible to do this either as a python script or C program. As if so how do I use the GPIO pins on either of these languages?

NFC for Pi

Hi. I've recently bought a NFC card reader for the PI form element 14 for a home project. However as far as I know I need to acquire or write a driver for it to work.

Any ideas on how I may do this

Thanks
