Re: Camera way too dark?

Does anyone know when the -ISO flag will be implemented on the raspvid command?

Re: RaspBerry Pi(e) Model C (imaginations & wants)

I would love to have a RPi with a faster (dual core) processor with a ARM v7. Some sata connectors and an extra Ethernet port would be nice. A more stable (beefier) power supply and some flash would make the unit more robust. But is this still a necessary for the original target of the RPi? For educ...

Camera board as network security cam?

I am experimenting a bit on if I could use the RPi camera board as network camera to monitor stuff. But it seems there is a large delay and the low light performance is not very good. I tried to set the ISO to 800 but this did not seem to have any effect. When looking at the source of raspistill and...

Re: Best USB Gig-Ethernet adapter?

Did you try the ethernet connection already? I think most HD streams don't need gigabit ethernet, as long as the compression is okay it should be round 40 Mbit.

Re: Installing wifi dongles.

Well, the wifi setup is not really easy on linux. Perhaps a better a idea is to buy a new dongle from the supported list ( with a RTL8188CUS chipset for instance). For the RTL8188CUS there is an automated script to use it. You can try this with your current dongle: in a terminal type 'lsusb' (withou...

Re: Multiple wifi networks

Thank you for your response! Good too hear that I am not the only one struggling with this. Your solution worked for the first accespoint but not for the second. As I couldn't find any differences between the configurations of the accespoints I changed the password. The password on the second one se...

Multiple wifi networks

I used the automatic setup script for the RTL8188CUS, this works great. However I have two networks in my home with different SSIDs. This works, but I have to switch networks manually. auto lo iface lo inet loopback iface eth0 inet dhcp #static #address 192.168.1.42 #netmask 255.255.255.0 #gateway 1...

Re: ROS on RPi

I successfully installed ROS Fuerte ROS-Full layer on Raspbian. Here is an image of my SD card : ROS Fuerte - Raspbian It comes just with ROS-Full and its dependencies installed. Because the build process is really long I thought it could help some of us to have a basic just-ROS-Full installation i...

Re: ROS on RPi

Thanks for the image! I tried it just now, but I have problem starting ROS. Did you manage to change an environment variable with ROS? ERROR: Rosdep experienced an internal error: Could not detect OS, tried ['ubuntu', 'rhel', 'osx', 'opensuse', 'mint', 'gentoo', 'freebsd', 'fedora', 'debian', 'cygwi...
