Re: Copying Sensorpush Sensor Temperatur and Humidity

Hey All, One quick question: I want to know, if Rasberry Pi can be used to measure temperatur and humidity (every minute or even second). This is what I want to build: https://www.growmart.eu/Sensorpush-Bluetooth-Thermometer.html Any chance this is even possible? Best regards, Pete :) It is most ce...

Re: Win SCP SSH recognises IP but NOT Hostname

What are your DNS settings on the computer you are using to connect to the device by hostname? Generally speaking, local computer names are registered to your router's DNS through TCP/IP. So if you are using googles DNS servers for example, hostname lookup may not work. Also, FYI, you can manually s...

Re: How to access SSH when under private IP

I just re-read your original post and I think I know what you are trying to do. Let me know if this is accurate. You want to use your Windows 7 machine as a gateway for all devices to connect to (Through different internet connections), after which, connected devices would communicate with each othe...

Re: How to access SSH when under private IP

Thnak you for answer, it is impossible to configure port forwarding because the internet provider gacves me a 10.* IP on the WAN of the router, they have private IP address in their network to save public IP addresses, May kindly suggest a solution about my questions, an SSH bridge (or how to setup...

Online Services to upload Weather Data

Hello, I'm looking for 3rd party services to support in my Kootnet Sensors program, which is basically an environmental monitoring, recording, and analysis tool. More on the program/project can be found here https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=249716 I found Weather Underground h...

Re: Can't enter console with can't find bash

Simplest way I can think is to pop the SD card into a PC or Mac (with ext4 support) and edit the file. If you do not have ext4 support loaded you could boot of a USB linux and do it that way One other thought (and I've not tried this in these circumstances) is to pop the SD card in to PC or Mac and...

Re: Best way to send signal om 2.4Ghz RF

Neat idea, but because it's using the 2.4Ghz RF, it makes it fairly complicated due to SOO many devices using that spectrum, including most wireless systems. I'm not 100% sure, but it sounds like this would be an investment of time for sure, especially if that device you're trying to mimic doesn't h...

Re: How to access SSH when under private IP

Personally, I would just forward the SSH port from the router you are getting private IPs from (The 10.x.x.x range router) to the Raspberry Pi, then you just connect to the PI from anywhere with an internet connection, using the Public IP from your 10.x.x.x router. If you don't have access to the 10...

Re: Proxy and 4G Modem

I'm not sure you can actually forward ports through an Android Tether. But if you can, you would be looking to make that IP 192.168.42.130 the DMZ or find a section to select the specific ports you need to forward. Then you can access your proxy through the Pixels 4G IP. You would also have to make ...

Re: Data Logging, Plotting Help

This may be a little biased but I started a project last year called "Kootnet Sensors" to gather sensor data over long periods of time with Raspberry Pi's and it supports a bunch of sensors, including the EnviroPHAT and Enviro+. It's decent on resources once it loads up, as I have it running on a Pi...

Re: Create your own Raspberry Pi Network Testers

Sorry for the late reply, I have not been on the forums for a bit. It sounds like you came to the right project. I made these testers to do exactly that. Plug the 2 testers on either end of the route you want to test and let them run. So long as there are no VLANs between the units, they should work...

I'll need more info. Can you post a screenshot of you getting the error? (Whole page, so I can see error, address bar, etc) Also if you can post your web server config. What web server are you using?

Re: More than one Wordpress in my Raspberry Pi

Try running this first, just to make sure its not a file permission issue.

sudo chmod 777 /var/www/html/wordpress2 -R

If it works after that, it is a permission issue, and might just be a type for the user or group name.

** Sorry, forgot to add sudo **

Re: Can I using wi-fi connect two pi's together without a hotspot?

I still don't understand. lets forget that we are using the Wi-Fi "layer" and think of only using TCP/IP by itself. I am sure that using the basic TCP/IP routines one can communicate between Is without a router. I think when I mentioned WiFi that the conversation meant that we HAD to use Wi-Fi rout...

Re: Can I using wi-fi connect two pi's together without a hotspot?

No because by default, they are both "Clients". They still need a "Server" to connect to. So one has to be a HotSpot or AD Hoc setup.

Create your own Raspberry Pi Network Testers

Hello, Thought I would share a few of my creations on the Pi forums. One of my first projects was to create a pair of Network Ethernet Testers. They consist of 2 Raspberry Pi 3B+ computers, both running Raspbian. They are used to help track down troublesome network issues, by isolating problematic d...
