Re: RPi 2 - Web server performance and questions

Thanks for all of the replies, really helpful! For now I have bought some cheap hosting to keep it simple and to enable me to get to work straight away. On the other hand, my friend who borrowed my Pi 1 has finally "found" it, so I can play around with Apache on it. When I get comfortable with it I ...

Re: RPi 2 - Web server performance and questions

Hey, it's the original poster here! My thoughts... I'm learning javascript and in the future node.js would be great to use. However, for now I want something that is simple and works. I don't need super fast hosting, as long as the user doesn't question the loading time when on the site then I'm ha...

Re: RPi 2 - Web server performance and questions

I'm actually learning javascript which is perfect for the node.js, but i thought that was something you add in addition to apache? Can node.js act as a full webserver? You say avoid PHP but don't many websites need PHP, like wordpress?

Re: RPi 2 - Web server performance and questions

Thanks for the reply, I'll have a look at that software. I have 20mb upload so I was hoping that would be enough for a fast, responsive website.

RPi 2 - Web server performance and questions

Hi guys has anyone tested out the Raspberry Pi 2 as a web server? I know people did it on the first Pi but I think performance was a little slow. Also, what is the situation regarding scripting on home web server? Apache and PHP seem easy enough to install, but what is required for Python, Ruby and ...

A questionnaire that recommends a product depending on selec

I'm trying to figure out a way I can have a questionnaire on a website and depending on what the user enters it will recommend a different product at the end of it. I downloaded "Visual Studio 2013 for Web" to try and create a form but It doesn't work like the old VB used to. What's the easiest way ...

Re: Excel formula help, image attached.

The method your choosing is only going to find true once therefore it only subtracts 1. A VBA script would be better but off hand search range add up all that equal same value in column I. This is giving me errors will look some more at work right now but: DUH The error is it omits adjacent cells l...

Re: Excel formula help, image attached.

Well the current formula isn't giving any errors, but it will only count 1 barcode because I can't get it to -1 from the new figure. It always does 50-1, instead of 50-1, 49-1, 48-1 etc.

Excel formula help, image attached.

I'm trying to create an inventory spreadsheet on excel using barcodes that will be scanned in. For each barcode that matches, I want the inventory to decrease by 1. http://i45.tinypic.com/16ht3r4.jpg Right click and "view image" if it's small. As you can see the inventory reads 49, from the original...

Stock levels with Raspberry Pi & barcode scanner (help!)

Hello, I run a business from home and my stock cupboard is getting ever full and complicated. What doesn't help matters is that I sell on a webstore, ebay and amazon, meaning that stock inventory issues are becoming more of a problem. I thought earlier about using a Raspberry Pi and a USB barcode sc...

MOHAA?

Could Medal of Honor: Allied Assault work on the Pi? I'm pretty sure the game runs on Linux.

I think people are using this: http://icculus.org/~ravage/mohaa/

System requirements: 450 MHz CPU, 128MB RAM, 1.2GB Hard disk space, 16MB GPU

Then again, due to the arm chip I guess it's all useless?

RPI to duplicate laptop screen over network?

Hi guys, Is there anyway for a RPI to duplicate the screen of a laptop via network connection? I was thinking some software on a Pi that could just show the laptop display and have t...

I'm working on a site for us pi enthusiasts

http://www.ultimatepi.nanobotf.....icator.com

I may buy a domain if it gets going and the pi does actually overclock!
