Re: config.txt

Overclocking. It is the intention that most users stick with the default clock frequencies. That will give you the longest lifetime of the chip, and the most reliability. If however you don't mind risking a little stability and chip lifetime, you can tinker with these, and get a little more perform...

Re: RetroArch Emulator Frontend

How do I configure a joystick with less buttons and controls then prompted by the retroarch-joyconfig tool? Is there a file that I can simply edit to add specific mappings? Also is it possible to setup different joysticks configurations for different emulators? Thanks! Also how to I set up a second...

Re: RetroArch Emulator Frontend

Hi All, I'm currently running RetroArch using a 128/128 memory split. Does anyone know if it would run better using the 224 or 192 memory splits? I tried running RetroArch after switching to 224 but it wouldn't run, do I need to recompile before attempting to run it usin a different memory split? Th...

Re: RetroArch Emulator Frontend

I think it's because the other drivers are slower. Which drivers RetoArch has available are decided at compile time I believe, you can check what is available by running retroarch --features or something (check the command-line help text). When I tried playing with sound, I found that ALSA worked t...

Re: RetroArch Emulator Frontend

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you can specify it in the config file with: audio_driver = alsa etc. Depending on configuration possible candidates are: alsa, pulse, oss, jack, rsound, roar, openal, sdl, and xaudio. Thanks Aloshi! I'll check my config file and I'll give that a try toni...

Re: RetroArch Emulator Frontend

Toad King, The dependicies listed on GitHub for RetroArch-Rpi state that "RetroArch needs at least one of these audio driver libraries": •ALSA •OSS •RoarAudio •RSound •OpenAL •JACK •SDL •XAudio2 (Win32) •PulseAudio Does this mean that we can force RetroArch to use a different audio driver other than...

Re: RetroArch Emulator Frontend

First of all I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to this great project. Especially Toad King, Aloshi, and petrockblog. But has anyone been able to get proper sound running yet? I've tested several roms for NES, SNES, and Atari. They all run great, but the sound is horrible! Is there a...
