Re: Vpn wifi crash

Hi. Have you had any luck with this? I had the same issue months ago and decided to stick with it being hard wired in the end. Someone suggested it may be to do with the USB wifi adapter causing the crash due to incompatibility with this type of connection. I have no idea.

Re: ssh via multiple authorized_keys

Have you looked into the creation of a config file in .ssh? This should sort it out.

Wireless VPN Server

Hi Wanting to set-up a VPN server, I set about configuring a pptp server on my pi. This was easy to achieve and works extremely well. However in order to make this more practical I went about setting the pi up with a wireless dongle (Netgear N1). Again this was easy with the new raspbian distro and ...

Re: RPI as VPN gateway

Hi I succesfully have my pptp server running but it will only work when using wired ethernet. For an easier set-up I want to make the pi wireless, which also works fine. Problem occurs when the VPN is accessed when the pi is wireless. The light on the wifi adapter goes out and ................... no...

Re: Why does my wi-fi disconnects after tunneling through PP

Hi Are you running the pptp server on your pi, or trying to connect your pi to a pptp server. I am running my pptp server on my pi and as you say, fine when wired via Ethernet but as soon as I change to wifi dongle the connection drops? I can't understand this really. Did you have any luck finding a...

Re: VPN Server No Internet

Hey dude. I had the same issue. It is to do with the ip tables I think try reading these pages (it sorted mine out); http://www.larmeir.com/2010/03/setting-up-a-pptp-vpn-server-on-debian-and-ubuntu/ http://wiki.debian.org/iptables The iptables will hold until the pi is rebooted, at which point they ...

Re: Mailserver with Postfix/Dovecot

Anyone had any joy with dovecot. With the old debian image it ran version 1.x without too much bother. Since moving to the rapbian image dovecot 2.x installs instead and can't get the thing to authenticate at all let alone with SSL. If anyone has this working, it would be great to hear. Have managed...

Re: Kernel panic

I think this type of error is due to some form of issue with usb devices (voltage?) as my logs showed a lot of activity with my usb connector (which happened to be attached to a powered sd reader with a 4gb card in it) prior to the crash. I have since uplugged the device and it has remained stable. ...

Re: Kernel panic

Hi, a similar error code has just started to appear on my pi also. It seems to cause the pi to crash out, particulary over night time. I will see if it does it again and post the error codes. Have you checked the kernel and sys logs for anything else out of the ordinary?
