Re: error can't access tty: during noobs installation

I just checked my volatge of my pie with the tp1 and tp2 holes and i am only getting 4 volts of power. but my powersupply is putting out exactly 5 volts. Also i check the gpio pins i had been using for my motor and they are still active. Did they somehow get switched on and are unable to turn off? ...

Re: Only boots NOOBS

So I tried to reproduce everything I did before, so it worked. What I did was take away the SD Card, put it into computer, search for anything on the card, then put it back into Pi, power it on, and then the choice menu shows up and I select Raspbian, then it restarts to get into the OS, but now, i...

Re: Zero video output

if you really have used the very latest version of the software, and you still get eight flashes then unfortunately what you say might be true, and "Am I in possession of a bad Pi " must be answered with "Yes". I presume that "SDRAM not recognized" means exactly that, but as no newer bootcode.bin/s...

Re: Pi runs Noobs perfectly well, but...

So did NOOBS not persist your component settings to Raspbian and kept the HDMI defaults instead? If that's the case then it's a bug. My understanding is that the O.P. (@Mike_Kee) was using composite video and appeared to have "fallen foul" of an issue I'd also noticed during beta testing (IIRC) - u...

Re: Only boots NOOBS

So today, after a few weeks, my new Samsung SDHC 32GB Class 10 card arrived. Meanwhile v1.3.2 was also released. However, my problem persists... Can you explain in detail what the issue is you are having with 1.3.2? (Including the behaviour of the LED's during booting, the method you are using to f...

It looks like you're booting into safe mode. Try disconnecting everything from the GPIO pins and rebooting.

NOOBS is all open source (see https://github.com/raspberrypi/noobs) so if you wanted to work on any of these additional features then we would happily include them from a pull request! :-)

Re: NOOBS 1.3.2 Lite not booting Pidora (Raspbian OK). Resol

Great, thanks for helping test. Given that an older, rolled-back version of Pidora is now being used in NOOBS for compatibility reasons, the fact that there are some bugs present that are fixed in the latest standalone release doesn't surprise me. I'll chase it up with the Pidora team. Good to know ...

Re: NOOBS 1.3.2 Lite not booting Pidora (Raspbian OK)

I'm pushing out a rolled back version both in the packaged NOOBS version and also for online install. The sync should take around an hour to complete - if people could test after then and let me know that would be awesome.

You can use VNC to take screenshots of the NOOBS interface.

See https://github.com/raspberrypi/noobs/issues/116 for details.

Re: NOOBS 1.3.2 Lite not booting Pidora (Raspbian OK)

So I packaged the latest release of Pidora with the 1.3.2 release as I had been assured by their team that it had been tested and was ready to be deployed. Unfortunately this appears not to be the case... If necessary I will re-release 1.3.2 with the old version and roll-back the one in the online r...

Re: NOOBS 1.3.2 (release notes?)

Updated here: https://github.com/raspberrypi/noobs/releases

I hadn't created a new release in GitHub as only the bootcode had changed (which is purely a change to the binary). I've now updated the release notes to reflect this fact.

Re: Only boots NOOBS

We've had a report from a user that v1.3.1 doesn't fix this issue in all cases (see https://github.com/raspberrypi/noobs/issues/117) and so I'm waiting to confirm that the latest firmware release will fix this issue for him before pushing what will be v1.3.2 out to the mainline.

Sorry for the delay.

Hello, thanks for your reply, Yes, I can confirm, I tried both 1.3 and 1.3.1 which I downloaded from links in this post. Today I managed to download and deploy Raspbian from NOOBS 1.2.1, but with this version I am also experiencing the same simptoms. Could it be the board? Should I RMA it? If it bo...
