Re: How to read 4-20mA signal input

Those both seem to be input only devices.
I require outputs as well.

Re: How to read 4-20mA signal input

I would really like a Pi Hat that has say four 4-20mA inputs and four 4-20mA inputs. The 4-20mA signalling protocol is used commonly in industry. I could lay one out in kicad as its very similar to a project I did with the pi last year ( see https://github.com/robin48gx/TH7 ). I could re-use the ADC...

Re: Pi 3 is Destroying SD Cards

I have had several PIs fail now where the common factor seems to be the SD card getting very hot.
as with other posters, I have taken micro-sd cards from known working devices (like cameras) and then had them destroyed by PI 3B+ PCBs.

Re: Thermocouple data logger

You could use a TH7. Thats a board I made with my son (now at uni) last summer. Its at version 4 and detects loss of thermocouple and applies compensation in s/w. It does the cold Jucntion compensation in s/w. So Type T is a matter of finding the right polynomials. Currently we only implemented `k' ...

This seriously sucks.

Click the Bluetooth icon at the top and connect to the nexdock

Re: Cool new "toy" for Pi owners

Just got a nexdock and last night began to connect it to a pi. At first I thought it was broken, but then finally realised you had to turn the nexdock on just before turning the pi on or the HDMI did not work. Bluetooth (just choose the nexdock device from the top menu bar) was easy, keyboard and mo...

Re: CAN controller

we (at work on picomod6) had a similar problem with MCP2515 reception and it was fixed by changing the interrupt triggering from falling edge to level.

Re: Midi Interface, total newbie

Hi Midi is just Rs-232 at 31k bps I think. Does the timidity program act as a USB host. If so it might be quite easy to get the timidity program to simply pass midi messages it receives on to the Rs-232. Viola! and we have a midi interface that can go on a modern piano which only has USB (like the Y...

Re: Binaries for XBMC and Quake 3 (with sound!)

Quake 3 was released open source some time back, the maps from the original game as still owned by (ID?) but if you have a CD key you can use them --- or --- you can use open source ones developed by fans. I got quake3 running last night (well actually I started doing it, then went off to ceroc and ...

Re: USB audio zoom h2

Just to clarify, are you using a ZOOM H2 http://www.zoom.co.jp/english/products/h2/
as an external microphone ?
The ZOOM H2 was USB 1...(and very slow I always took the sd card out of it and put it in a card reader).

Re: 128 Gb SDxc Cards & Raspberri Pi

be nice to know... if it can take SDXC cards it would make a very nice web server/git host/jtrac host...
much more energy efficient than leaving an old celeron PC running....
