Mark debian wheezy as unstable

There are issues with files not deleting, and temporary files not removing themselves. The distro is only useful for a day or so.

Re: Sopcast

Compiling from source will take ages. I don't think the raspi will be able to handle all the connections and decode the stream.. Although if more was known about the gpu then some common library's might get written. Xbmc really is overhyped it doesnt run fast. My suggestion would be to buy 2 raspis ...

Card full when it shouldn't be help

Hi my wheezy install full even though it is an 8gb card. I have obviously expanded the partition. I have downloaded several large video files then deleted them, moving them to the rubbish folder. When I try to delete the files in the rubbish folder it says they don't exist! Why? I can't understand w...

Arduino meets its prodigy, interesting. That means you can use the dacs on the arduino for all sorts of things. I've never used i2c (shamefully as I own multiple arduinos a pi and an a8 cortex). Post your findings.

Cannot access the rubbish folder in new wheezy

I'm having problems deleting files because they are moved to the rubbish folder and when I try access it says "operation not allowed". I've tried opening the file manager from sudo. Still get the same error. Then the system crashes and xorg doesn't work on restart. Obviously due to no space. If I co...

Will you ever buy another brand of embedded board?

There is no doubt for the price/performance raspberry uses a bazooka to kick ass. I always had my eye on the beagleboard then I heard about a project called raspberry pi- I thought the specs and price was a joke It to my research was a British design. For the price it is simply ground breaking, I go...

Re: Apple 20" display not working

You just need to change a variable to dvi in windows in config.txt. Google raspberry pi config.txt and it'll show you the correct one in the wiki.

omxplayer doesn't show video / my over clocking

My omxplayer on Debian beta plays sound but has no image on the screen. I followed the instructions fully. I just want gpu acceleration. I'm using vlc? I've checked the logs and nothing jumps out of the ordinary. Although I am slightly suspicious of the instructions being wrong (referring to http://...

Re: Where can I get Raspbmc?

If you spend a while on the searching google you can find an image posted yesterday. I tried it and it couldn't connect to download apps and was a waste of the pi. Install Debian beta and try installing the gpu drivers. Debian has so much more to offer- the beta upgrades distros from the command now...

I've been using an iPad charger and it powers my wireless mouse, apple two port USB hub keyboard with a wifi dongle, it all works fine- I've clocked it almost to the max. So I doubt it's the power supply!

Re: Raspberry Pi does not boot

Try checking the checksums or md5s. I hope you unzip then extract the .img using a chosen tool?. Before I write I format to fat32. Try the beta Debian build.
