Re: Wifimanager for Raspberry PI

I see, I know this kind of mindset. But fortunately there's still a lot of people that love to share what they have achieved. For others is only a kind of egocentric attitude. Sounds to me something like "I've done it spending hours of my life studying and spitting blood on the keyboard, and you wan...

Re: Wifimanager for Raspberry PI

Dave this is exactly what I meant. Excellent. Why it can't be asked to the raspbian team to, at least, evaluate the chance to include it by default in the distro. I think that there should be some changes here and there maybe, but it would really make the first boot a lot easier for a lot of people....

Re: Wifimanager for Raspberry PI

thanks PhatFil, I am not very good in linux scripting, but I will try to find a solution, but actually the real point of my Post was that such an easy process SHOULD be implemented by default in Raspbian, mainly to be used by absolute beginners (like me). I know I could easily change the wpa_supplic...

Wifimanager for Raspberry PI

Actually I've tried to start a discussion about this topic on the "network" forum, but maybe it wasn't the right place, so I try to write it here. Here is the suggestion: I've found a very clever mechanism implemented for ESP8266 devices to let their users to easily connect to a new wireless network...

Re: Google AIY Voice Kit German Language

IT would be interesting, by the way, to know way the tts is so bad. Maybe because is something that runs locally? I hope one day they will be able to find a better one, or at least the option to use the standard one, even remotely.

Re: Anyone got UK voice working on Assistant API?

For what i understood that changes only the voice used in tts (as already mentioned), not the language used by the assistan when it replies. I think that voice can't be changed yet, at least not on the SDK, probably it could be done on real devices like tablet and phones. Anyone confirms?

Change hey Google hotword

How can we change the "hey Google" hotword without using external service? I've seen a lot of tutorial that use snowboy service, but i guess if it can be achieved using only the aiy library.

Stop conversation

I'm trying to implement some actions with the new AIY kit version. So far I've been able to easily add them to the assistant_library_with_local_commands_demo.py that has a slight different behaviour from assistant_library_with_button_demo.py. The main difference is that the "...local_commands...py" ...

How to stop a subprocess

I've been finally able to make the youtube music play command work. The problem is that when the mpsyt has been finally called and the music start, I can't manage to stop the music. This is what I've done (starting from the assistant_library_with_local_commands_demo.py) def YouTube(phrase): idx=phra...
