Creating context for OpenGLES2 with SDL2 (no window manager/xserver)

Does anyone know if it is possible to create context for OpenGLES2 with SDL2 without touching the egl stuff at all?

Hey, I decided to go with RetroPie's installation image and PySDL2 (python2) since that combination seems to be working very well. I can use SDL_Renderer with these parameters on RPi and it gets rid of the tearing issue I was having earlier. I can still see little tearing on my development PC, but I...

I am mainly rendering many relatively low resolution (my screen size is fixed 800x600) 2D sprites for now.
