not sure why but I'm unable to boot unless I have the keyboard plugged into the usb port. Possibly power issues? I'm using the power supply that came with the unit from RS. any ideas?

great info, thanks and very helpful! recovery not in planning as not sure yet if they can get it done. It's a summer school project so am trying to hold them back a bit as these kids just want it to do everything. probably should break this up into phases to give them something that is doable before...
