Re: Power Button on/off module (with ttl shutdown timer)

I decided to go with another aproach.

I will now be using a microcontroller to do all this. This way it will be a fully programmable, "USB" plug and play power on/off button with led indicators.

I am now waiting for parts to arrive.

Re: RaspberryPi On/Off Switch Idea

Doing this is really a pain in the ***. But i did it though! I have the whole working setup on my breadboard now. The way it works: Push button once = power on, push again = power off with a adjustable delay from +/-20 to 60 sec. Ttl input for button press simulation by raspberry pi (HIGH = pressed)...

Power Button on/off module (with ttl shutdown timer)

Hello everyone, Just wanted to let you know that i'm working on a intelligent powerbutton for the raspberry pi. It has only one pushbutton, wich can turn the power on and off. When power is turned off the power stays on for a given time, so the raspberry pi has time to shutdown. When the button is t...

Re: Power switch board

I was accually wondering if this could be done with a 555 timer.

There is a circuit for "on/off pushbutton" and a circuit for a "delay off".

I haven't been able to figure out how to combine the two however... Any help is apreciated!

Re: current version (July 4 2012) blanks screen and won't re

I have the same problem. At this moment i'm thinking about pulling the plug. If it just weren't for my 3.5 hour install of opencv.

Green (ACT) led blinks every now and then. So it must be doing something....

I am not in lxde. Just in the startup terminal.

Cancelled my order with RS last night. Today i got confirmation.

Also today my pi from "New IT" (ordered this morning) is shipped today!

I ordered once before from RS (just components) and without receiving a bill, they send me 2 last reminders of payment at once.

Well, if we had decided to cancel our order sooner, we would now own a version 1 board in stead of a rev.2 board.

I agree, they could have known when we ordered that they did not have enough chips. You know what you have in stock right? Even though, they accepted our payment in the hope we would not find out what a fishy plot this is... Also, if they don't have the chips by now, they'll probably won't make the ...

Not all device are working on any powered hub.

Some won't work. I was having the same problem on mac osx with a cheap powered usb hub. Using another brand might fix things.

Anyone applied for free case with your pi?

Since we al have to wait another 5 weeks excluded shipping time, and it's certainly not our fault.

I've sent them a mail regarding this and they said they would look into it..

Wii-mote ir camera

Has anyone connected a wiimote camera to the RBP?

So that is the camera module only (i2c 24mhz), and not the entire remote with bluetooth.

Re: Order and Shipping update from RS & Allied

I have received the 5week delay email too. Really pissed me off! I certainly hope they will not replace any parts with cheaper ones or other types. And what to do when it is faulty? Send it back, wait for repare (might take a year) and than they have to send it back. Or you have to wait another 5 mo...
