I did that and tried a different sd card with the newest version of Raspbian. My hardware is not found.

Re: Wifi and Bluetooth Gone

Thank you for the reply. It isn't that it can't find the wifi signal. It actually comes up no wlan0 nor bluetooth. When I tried to uninstall and reinstall the pi-bluetooth it returned an error something like no bluetooth found. I think the hardware is shot. Let me boot it up and find the exact messa...

Wifi and Bluetooth Gone

I was using my pi model b 2 days ago, connected to wifi. Yesterday in the morning I couldn't connect to it. So I threw an ethernet in and connected. It shows my wifi and bluetooth have no available connections. I formatted and put the newest Raspbian Stretch image on the card and the same thing. The...

Scratch GPIO Extension

I was planning on creating a simple LED display for our school's open house using Scratch however the purple GPIO extension blocks for setting GPIO () to high/low/input won't let me put a list item on the (). I used to be able to do that. Set GPIO (item (index) of pins) to high/low/input. Was there ...

PiServer Questions

First, not sure if this is the correct forum but I didn't see one dedicated to PISERVER. That being said. I started a Lego Robotics club at the school where I teach technology and admin all tech. We just received a donation to continue to build the program. I have brought in my Raspberry Pi's to the...

lightshowpi in within script (SOLVED)

I wrote a small program to light up 8 led lights on a cardboard Christmas tree in order, flashes them a few times, waits 30 minutes, turns them off 1 by one, waits 10 minutes and restarts the tree. Simple but works great. Separately, I also can use lightshowpi from the Terminal to create a display t...

Purchase for School (US)

First, apologies if this isn't the correct forum. I looked around and didn't see anything more appropriate to post this question in. I've seen a few places that offer bulk sales of the Pi for schools in the UK. Is there any vendors that do bulk, we're a small school looking for maybe 30, in the US t...

Re: Portable Pi for Robot

Thank you. I'm very new to this. Can you suggest a better option than the one I posted above? I certainly don't want to damage my Pi.

Thank you.

Re: Beginner Python Help - Sound from list

Thank you, I will also look into Pygame. I'm still confused as to why if I type the full audio_file_name.mp3 in place of play_sound the song will play. However, when the sound is stored in a variable it won't. I'm very new to Python but am very curious as to why it works one way but not when stored ...

Re: Beginner Python Help - Sound from list

Thank you, I will work with that tomorrow after work. I was very confused by putting the song name.mp3 or the entire song path and name in place of play_sound would play. Once I store the song in play_now, it will no longer play. Thank you.

Beginner Python Help - Sound from list

Hello, I've had a Raspberry Pi for about a year but am really just starting to dive into Python. Not sure if this is the right forum, if it isn't please direct me to a more appropriate place to ask. I put together the code below on Python 3. The song will not play when I put the bolded play_sound (s...
