Nice!

That is it: long live to ours 3B+! Raspbian buster make it even better. Maybe one day Pi4 will have enough love as 3B+ has

Re: Don't want Raspian Buster!

ahnmm...

Advice from an addictive Rpi 3B+ fan?

Just try the official Buster image (I mean, the Rpi foundation official image). Use etcher and, friend, you're going to have a very smooth experience there. This is the official, secure and best way for a desktop experience with your Rpi.

Oi Miguel,

qual a versão do seu Raspberry Pi? De onde você pegou a imagem do Raspbian? Como você gravou ela no USB?

Re: Raspberry Pi audio HAT with XLR +48v

Hi, It is not phantom-power capable, but Pisound is really, in my opinion, the best audio HAT for profissional recording purposes (ADC). There is no XLR input, but there is a high quality p10 stereo Input (6,35 mm TRS). Actually I am recording 2 microphones through a split cable (2 XLR > 1 stereo P1...

Maybe you should try it.

Re: Why is the Raspbian desktop experience so slow?

Hi! To be honest, I think Pi and its official OS, our beloved raspbian, do a great job as a daily use computer. I do not hack much -- except some small linux tweaks here or there -- or compose great projects -- a surveillance system, or home automation, a local radio stream, etc. I do not even have ...

bedtime,

this is very handy! Thanks for sharing it!

Ideia? Hmm... maybe the RPF could merge it as an option in raspbian configuration. It works very nice really.
Small footprint, great functionality!

We are thinking of defaulting the GPU clock speeds a bit higher, but will need thorough testing.
Oho, nice!! :D
May you tell us more about that?

Thanks!

Great!

So, generally speaking, a Pi 3 B+ without heatsink still cooler than an aluminium heatsinked Pi 3B?

Re: New Raspberry Pi model 3B+ 1.4 GHz, 330Mbit Ethernet, 802.11ac, PoE

Great news!

I would like to ask if anyone already made some heat dissipation tests. Does heatsink still recommended for hot and dry countries (northeast brasil, in my case)? Is there any advice about using heatsinks on the new model?

Thanks;

Nice!

How is it working? Lightweightly?

They should release a .deb binary for armhf, really. :)
(MANY apps could do that, even if I understand the "compile from source", I really think some binaries are way-to-go sometimes)

Re: Atom Editor - package/repo/binaries?

It is not what you asked for but actually the closest option we have is Caret (via Chromium or Vivaldi). Take a look: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/caret/fljalecfjciodhpcledpamjachpmelml It is the most up-to-date (modern feel) code editor we can use in Raspbian. Off course you'll always ...

This kind of issue seems to be related to some long known problems with BT under raspbian. If you can report it too: https://github.com/raspberrypi/firmware/issues/887 No update had fixed such problem... The Debian armhf version is working great! (stretch backports)
Quite easy to install!

Just downlad the .deb and the tb voip.deb, install and it's working!

Nice post! I've been using a pi3 as my main computer for almost a year. What really makes me happy about it is the Pi "limitation". Gadgetguy , your tutorial is great! But in raspbian stretch the libffmpeg.so is under /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf and it is named libffmpeg_chrome.so.60 . It's behaviour seems like 30% better than Chromium under Raspbian Stretch! I'm quite surprised! The bad thing still Youtube and demanding HW acceleration pages in general. But for eMail, networking it is actually way better than Chromium! 1 tab in Chromium = +/- 270mb 2 tabs in Vivaldi = +/- 280mb (...
