VGA666 timings

Hi all, I would love to get this little greyscale monitor working on the gert VG666 but I have a hard time getting the correct settings: This is the unit: https://www.cnet.com/products/viewmagic-md-md935a-crt-monitor-9/specs/ I poked around in the config.txt but I just can't get it right, how an I a...

GPIO to GPIO on same pi?

Hi All,

I have a question, I'm about to connect two GPIO pins to each other with resistor/led in between like so:

GPIO23 ----[220]--->|-----GPIO27

I wanted to set GPIO27 on pulldown low,low and control the LED with the GPIO23 signal. Question is... is this a 'legal' solution?

Thanks!

Re: suddenly Xin Mo game controller behaves different

Have the same problem, tried re calibrating but it's still bad. It almost seems like it's off sync or something. Sending messages too fast? Also, joy-axis are interfering with each other Player 1 and 3 x&y axis are mixed

Re: 01/16 UltraSlim = Retro/Gaming/Q3|XBMC 12/13|Desktop + m

I am now testing this on the RPi2 but the omxplayer for the intro video gives a very persistent dbus error and the joystick detects too fast so you can hardly select a game from the emulationstation menu. I use imame4all for mame emulation and it also has a problem with the joystick, (Using the xin-...

Re: PiCheckVoltage : monitor battery voltage

Sorry for replying soooo late to this post, but I thought to mention that I'm using a LM3914 to measure the battery on the pi, using the LED output pins to trigger the appropriate GPIO port. I'm using a 12V battery though, not sure it this thing runs on 5V..

Re: 11/25 UltraSlim = Retro/Gaming/Q3|XBMC 12/13|Desktop + m

I'm using the mame4all_pi mame instead of the retroarch for this excellent image but have trouble getting my Xin-Mo Dual Controller to work. I read the tip about enabling it by device_joystick auto / device_joystick raw but can't really find those settings in mame4all_pi. I've done the jscal etc fro...

Re: Raspberry Pi as Time Machine for OSX Lion?

I also have this version errror problem but don't want to switch to an extra SMB share. I suspect this has something to do with editing the afpd.service. I changed the name to 'raspi' in this file (instead of the standard 'raspberrypi', restarted both services and now I have these two servernames br...

Re: Error -110

Just thought I'd reply on this. I managed to solve the -110 error by shortening the USB cable. Well... Shortening... I split the cable 2cm after the mini USB plug an soldered a normal female plug on there to receive 5v from my 12.5w adapter. Now everything works.

Re: Error -110

Same -110 error here. Could'nt tell the quality of my mini usb cable but all and all: It seems a weird choice to me using a mini USB connector on a plug which has to deliver 700mA minimum. Searching for a solution on this error I found on the internet that this combination is not easy to comply to.
