Question: Minimal image Raspbian for Switch / Controller

https://sirlagz.net/2012/08/18/raspbian-server-edition/
Should there be a minimal Raspbian? Thinking if it would be safer if I minimize it to just an openflow SDN switch or a controller.
Planning to use it for the Cisco router and Switches

Has anyone tried an enamel pin on anything other than clothes? I tried piercing a cap but the pin somehow loosens over time.

Re: STICKY: The projects list. Look here for some ideas.

Before I work on the project. I want to know if there's a networking project that exists here. Thinking of making a basic SDN by connecting a basic router and switch, with the Raspberry Pi (RHEL / Centos) having a OpenDaylight / OpenStack integration. Do I need just the switch (and the laptop [Putty...

Re: RHEL on Pi 3 Model B?

Hi Mahomei, I am intrigued to find out if you ever got this work? I am considering this as a way to train for my RHCE. Having used CentOS7 on my RPi3 for the RHCSA I would love to use the real thing if it is possible. Thanks Yeah I called them. Unfortunately it's still incompatible. I'd always want...

Re: Automated/unattended configuration/setup of Raspberry Pi

Question would be that I need to fix up some parts. Installation is not working (well I don't need deja-dup anymore, since it overheats) and I need to automate installing teamviewer, ufw and a logging program [fail2ban and enable logging of those who log in] and updates. Is there a way to script thi...

P.S. After I used this, I couldn't format my microSD card anymore. Neither could I erase my files (a reboot puts them back).

Is it possible to change keyboard settings / languages for different users?

If you're going to give a Raspberry Pi to someone in Quebec, can you set it to French (and a US / Canadian keyboard) in a non-root user and leave root as a US keyboard? (and in English)

Re: Unable to login, screen turns black when I login and goes back

Nvm I found out that rm /home/(insert user)/.XAuthority or mv /home/(insert user)/.XAuthority /home/(insert user)/.XAuthority-backup works

As for pi being removed, I checked how to secure Linux and it ended up with removing the default user.

Which file is in charge of saving SSIDs

In order to allow the wifi function to work, I had to login as root, save the SSID and that would allow me to connect to the internet.

Which script or file is in charge of getting SSIDs?
