Re: If you built a fully loaded Raspbian

Probably the best thing everyone can do, is contribute well written guides on how to easily configure and install their software of choice, and keep them up to date. this is entirely correct, and entirely hopeless. trying to corral all the necessary data into one spot would be like herding cats. I ...

If you built a fully loaded Raspbian

I have had my fill of buying laptops that fail after 6 months. I went Raspberry Pi and I live without portability. I built up a well loaded Raspbian designed for use as a primary computer, surfing, Arduino IDE, no GPIO ( I don't want 5V Arduino modules and 3.3V RPi modules on the same workbench ). I...

maximum length of 40 pin header

I have my Pi velcroed to the bridge over my workbench. I could leave it up there and run a Pi wedge on the workbench with a 30 " cable, or route it out of the way and do it right with a 48" cable.

USB Serial support registered for ch341-uart

Re: A request for a Linux guru

I found my kernel number: 4.9.40-v7+ found what appears to be the driver: /lib/modules/4.9.40-v7+/kernel/drivers/usb/serial/ch341.ko opened a terminal, tried insmod ch341.ko and sudo insmod ch341.ko result: ERROR: could not load module...

A request for a Linux guru

I am trying to use a Raspberry Pi to program an Arduino Mega. The Mega is a Chinese clone using the CH340X chip. Therefore I need the CH340X driver. I have read about a dozen threads describing how to do this, did what they said, and failed a dozen times. One of the threads had one line to type in t...
