PINN - How to create multiple partitions on USB Drive?

I have a Pi4B and ran Raspbian on it to create multiple partitions on my USB Drive so that I could install and test different OSs. I then installed PINN on an SD Card and booted it. But PINN only see's the entire USB Drive, not the individual partitions. How do I create multiple partitions on the US...

Re: STICKY: PINN - An enhanced version of NOOBS.

I can't get PINN to connect to my Wifi network. Latest version of Raspbian Buster connects fine. PINN doesn't see my 5Ghz network, only the 2Ghz one. I select my Network name, enter its password, verify with 'Show Password', and click on connect. The connecting progress bar just bounces back and for...

Pi 4B Multiboot?

Got a Pi4B and a 320GB SATA/USB3.0 HD.
Looking to install multiple OSs on the HD and be able to boot into whichever one I wish at Power On.
BerryBoot looks very nice, but its not yet ready for the 4B.
Anyone know of other solutions that work with the 4B?
Thanks!

FYI: raspi-config not used in GUI

I set my RPI4 up via SSH and raspi-config: New Pi Password, Wifi connection, Localizations, etc.
When I booted into the GUI for the first time, it asked for all that info again.
Just an FYI as I don't think that should have happened.
Cheers.

Never mind. Found the answer: Use PIP instead:

Code: Select all

apt-get install python-pip
pip install miniupnpc

Ok. Thank you for clarifying your answer. I did not understand the first time.
Bummer. Guess I'll dig around for the the smallest USB hub I can find.

Re: Dual USB stack on A3+ ?

Well, like I said already, I don't want to add a USB hub because of cost and space (bulk), so I asked if just replacing the single USB connector with a dual one would work.
So hopefully someone else can answer my question.

Dual USB stack on A3+ ?

I've seen posts on this regarding the original Model A, but can't find anything about the 3A+. Would it be possible to upgrade the 3A+ to have 2 USB Ports, instead of just the one? And would it be as simple as just de-soldering the USB Port and soldering in a dual stack one? Clearly, I have not elec...

Buster on 3A+ Bluetooth audio problem

Got my bluetooth speakers connected to the Pi 3A+ with Buster and was watching a test video on YouTube. Kinda choppy, but it worked and I could hear sound....then... Sound died. Speaker icon says "No volume control on this device" Then YouTube froze Rebooted, and it happened again. Any ideas? Thanks!

I did the update and full-upgrade and it reported nothing to do.

I'll ignore the cma_alloc errors.

Buster on 3A+ Errors

This is a full/fresh install of Buster Desktop with Recommended Software on a Pi 3A+ First, I get a cma_alloc failed error -12 every time I boot. Doesn't seem to blow anything up. Should I be concerned? Second, the automatic updated failed with something to the tune of 'kernel is not yet available'....

I'm trying to get my Pi connected to my Bluetooth speakers to play music at certain times of the day via cron jobs. Multiple Gateways with Failover problem

I've set up 3 OpenVPN gateway clients on my Pi set as tun0, tun1 and tun2 and they work perfectly interdependently as I am able to ping out those interfaces successfully: ping -I tun0 8.8.8.8 ping -I tun1 8.8.8.8 ping -I tun2 8.8.8.8 I am wanting to use this in a failover environment such that tun0 ...

OpenVPN client always uses tun1, never tun0?

Ok, back with another OpenVPN client question using multiple simultaneous hosts. I have two client config files in /etc/openvpn One goes to HostA, the other goes to HostB and I see both tun0 and tun1 in ifconfig with inet addr as expected: 10.9.0.6 (tun0) and 10.8.0.6 (tun1) Independently tested, bo...

Now it seems to be working ok.

OpenVPN Client on tun1 fails, tun0 works

I have openvpn client on my Pi and my Pi is set as a gateway on my network. When I have 'dev tun' or 'dev tun0' in the client.conf, everything works fine. I found the 'PiJuice' Hat. It looks to do exactly what I'm wanting, but the price (x2 that of the Pi3), is a little hard to swallow.
Any cheaper alternatives?

Power Loss Controlled Shutdown with Automatic Restart

Looking for a DIY (or OTS) project for a Pi3+ that allows the Pi to detect when main power has been lost, do a controlled shutdown, and then automatically power up the Pi again once main power has been restored. I'm assuming this would require a small battery to supply power to the Pi in the event o...
