try uncommenting this line original # uncomment if you get no picture on HDMI for a default "safe" mode # hdmi_safe=1 Modified # uncomment if you get no picture on HDMI for a default "safe" mode hdmi_safe=1 it worked for my TV/Monitor After this I could go into preferences displays and play around.

After a week of anguish I got my PI4 to work on my TV/monitor. from EDID my monitor is a" monitor name is WD32HD1390" from westinghouse. HDMI-0 is the default port when only one screen is in use. Make sure you have the correct input selected on the TV, and the TV is on before you power up the Pi. Do you have a direct micro-HDMI to HDMI cable, or are you using an adapter? And as asked above, is the green activity LED blinking in a pa...

You don't mean a pattern of four flashes, do you?
I get the "Four Flashes" when the SD card is missing. Else with the card in it appears to be booting.

The posted code uses a "pipe" to redirect the output that normally would go the the standard output (console) to a file. The provided line of script has to be executed to perform this task.
