crontab -e will not edit crontab but crontab -l will list it? - pi Jesse

I have tried to edit the crontab file to run a program at reboot, when I enter sudo crontab -e it indicates no file exists for pi when I enter sudo -E crontab -e I get the file I previously edited using sudo nano crontab -e and it is correct, but when I go to save it ctr-X it saves it to /tmp/cronta...

Re: GNU gfortran Compiler

Thanks, topguy, I think I may have to purchase a wifi stick and connect to the internet. I have downloaded the gfortran-4.9_4.9.2-10_armhf.deb. Could I transfer this to the pi and use dpkg to install it? Thanks again, Ray

GNU gfortran Compiler

I have a Raspberry pi Model A+ with Raspbain Jesse installed. I have been using the C++ compiler but it appears that the GNU gfortran compiler has not been installed, but is with the compiler collection. How would I install the gfortran compiler without internet access?
Thanks, Ray.
