As a follow-up on the problems I am experiencing. The issues only occur when I ssh from a MacBook Pro to the RPi and not when I ssh using Putty from a Windows machine (which seems to work fine even when I have problems on the Mac).

I'm interested to know if anyone found a solution to the intermittent ssh connection other than turning off the wifi power management. I am having the same intermittent issues and I'm sure it is not related to wifi connection, as I have multiple ssh sessions open to the RPi and some fail while other...
