This method screws up raspi-config. I had to take out the SD card and edit config.txt on my computer. Still not sure how to use raspi-config. It caused me hours of frustration + 1 week of thinking to fix the downstream problem this caused. :evil:

Stretch - kodi 17 - video starts playing with only audio, no picture

My kodi on stretch starts playing a file, but only audio plays. The menu still shows and I can hear things, but can't see anything. The external HDD has its own power supply though.

Cant USB boot with USB hdd also attached

I have a dedicated bootable USB thumbdrive that works fine. It boots. When i plug in a powered usb HDD, it no longer boots (red light turns on solid, and I get no video output).

Using the latest version of raspbian stretch with the bit flipped to allow for USB booting.

What gives? :|

I got my rpi3 to boot from a USB, with nothing else attached to it. When I add my external USB hard drive formatted EXT4 with no boot sector, the pi refuses to boot. any ideas? Obviously I need to be able to boot the pi with the bootable thumbdrive plus external hard drive attached. Power supply is ...
